I guess you can take being drunk in the "spirit" in any way you want...What spirit though, that's the question.

I knew it was John Crowder before I opened it. I've heard him in person...he isn't *quite* as out there as he can come across in video clips. But..all the same. That's one that even in context is too far for me. Taken out of context it's just really crazy.

Well what do you expect? Any mention of the fear of God brings an immediate rebuke. We are told we just need to "reverence" God. We need not fear him. The sickening mess going on in Churches is because people are taught NOT to fear God.

Yet Paul the apostle said "Knowing the terror of the Lord we persuade men".

Todays modern day God is not "terrible". Therefore none takes him seriously. Hes a joke to them. We are at the point as in the days of Noah. The animals are worth more than the people. The pews are more valuable than those who sit on them.

The REAL YHWH will soon reveal himself to America as a man of war. A God of power and might. America will tremble. Seek YHWH while he may be found. Dwell in the secret place. It may be you will be hid in the day of the Lords anger.

You know...you really have issues with anyone focusing on anything other than God's judgment and anger, don't you? I'm sorry.

I will hide in the Lord who *could* destroy me, but because of His love for me...will not.

Thye fear of God is banned. It is not permitted. One must not mention it.

I'm not sure what Crowder teaches on the fear of the Lord. I haven't listened to much of his stuff cuz he's half cracked.

I do know that the church where I heard him speak teaches about the reverence and awe of God. It's one of the places I ended up flat on my face with an acute awareness of His power and glory and holiness.

I think what he's saying is that there's not enough fear of God being taught in churches.

God is not one dimensional.

It's just as silly to overfocus on God's love and mercy as it is his judgment and righteousness.

God is a loving and just God.

He will also destroy the wicked and avenge the persecuted. We can reap one of two things from God, love and mercy or judgment and damnation.

We need to assure the saints of God's love as much as we need to warn the sinner of his pending imminent destruction.

Yeah, that's what he says. I just don't see it. I've been all over the country, in many sorts of churches, and fear is preached so heavily it's stifling. If he's somewhere it's not preached...I could accept that, but he won't accept anyone else saying it's preached too much. Or..maybe we simply disagree on how much is too much. I dunno.

I don't know whether it's the type of church you're going to (if you're refering to churches within a certain group/denomination) but generally in megachurches, evangelical and charismatic circles fear, reverence, and respect for God's house isn't preached much at all I'm a witness to this. It's usually prosperity, name it claim it-stab it grab it, acceptance gospel, and philosophical fables. The amount of churches that actually preach Hell or judgment (when it comes to the entire Christian diaspora) are scarce, far, few, and in-between, and the trend is away from that.

I have to agree. The Bible strongly forbids the treatment of holy things as if they were profane. This has consistently caused men trouble through history. The fact that there are people who are so sloppy that they do not care to be sober minded when discussing the holy things of God is no call to jump those who call them down for it.

Both the mercy and the wrath of God are taught in the Scripture.

Anything less than fear and respect of God is taking not only his name in vain, but His entire being.

The more I study the Bible, the more I have to examine myself.

Everybody claims to be Christian, but Christ said,

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

(Matthew 7:14)
