Here's a sobering thought

Most of you know that both of our sons are adopted. Our youngest is a Senior in high school this year. If he had not been adopted and had been left with his biological grandma to grow up - guess which high school he would have been at this morning when they had a shooting in the cafeteria! That's right - CHARDON, Ohio.

Maybe it's just because I'm his mom, but the very thought of that takes my breath away. I have thanked God over and over today that Keith is with us and not in Chardon.

Such a sad tragedy that happened there today. So glad your son was not there.

Wow, that really hits close to home Margie! Feeling very thankful with you for this!! And my heart goes out to those involved with the shooting, something no kid should have to fear when going to school!!!

Grand Theft Auto generation...maybe the kid thought the others would respawn.

I don't people think you shouldn't feel this way, but honestly, as angry as I am at the kid who did the shooting because of the pain he has caused to so many people - family members, friends, loved ones, teachers, administration, etc., etc. - still I feel a great deal of sympathy for the kid himself. Imagine the pain he has to be living with inside of himself day after day that would bring him to the point of such a horrible act. I can't believe he just got up this morning and said to himself, "Gee, I think I'll go to school today and shoot a bunch of people just to see if they'll come back to life like in a video game." No. I'm confident that he has been stewing over this for a long, long time and finally for some reason he snapped today. In no way am I saying that he is right or that what he did is excusable. I just wonder how much pain he is walking around with every day of his life that would push him to take this kind of action. He needs our prayers too.

So thankful for your son Keith, and so sad about the whole situation.

Sad situation, thankful more weren't killed or injured. Sorry for the pain so many will be going through. Prayers for the families involved.

Nice hat, Cindy. But shouldn't you be changing it for an Easter bonnet here soon?

I think I will have to call TheMrs, She hasn't explained to me how to fix it yet. :)

Yep! That's it. She has mistaken you for a real elf. But fear not, Leprecon season is just around the corner!

I've heard a third victim has died at the hospital this afternoon. This is a wicked and evil generation, I'm praying for the souls effected.

awww, Ferd, you make me blush. But really, I say with all honesty - WE are the ones who've been blessed! God gave us 2 of the greatest gifts He could have ever blessed us with when He chose our sons for us.
