Conservatives from day 1 of his Presidency have been focused on getting him out of office and they have made this clear.

And liberals were not focused on getting GWB out of office from day 1?

Lord, let him see the beam in his own eye, instead of focusing on the mote in mine...

No.

I remember distictly the difference between what was going on in America in 2000 and what has been going on since day 1 of Obama's presidency.

The focus of FOX News and others on the right on getting Obama out of office became nauseating after the first 6 months.

In 2000, the hang up was on the election in the first place-- many thought that Gore should have won it. The focus was on making sure that the confusion never happens again. Then there was the dot com bust and the ............ economy. Dems were focused on getting a stronger hold on the House and Senate-- not on the Presidency. Then there was 9/11 and a brief period of solidarity.

Bottom line, it hasn't been the same.

Many conservatives became consumed very quickly on getting Obama out of office-- fed by FOX and other right-winged talking heads. My guess is that it was good for their ratings.

Furthermore, President Obama has not been the permanently campaigning for his re-election.

There has been so much going on during the last 3 years!

So you are a defender of President Obama and a Republican?

The reason Conservative have been trying to "get rid" of him is that he is leading in the wrong direction. He would lead us away from Capitalism and into socialism. Away from a Republic(representative) form of government to a Democracy (mob rule :heeheehee). From self sufficiency to a nanny state.

They wated to get rid of him from day 1!

He didn't even have a chance to lead when the nausea started.

Perhaps looking at his record. what he said during the campaign, and looking at who he surrounds himself with was a factor.

JD - whoever you are referring to as "they", I can guarantee you that I can find a "they" on the other side for GWB's term of office.
As for me, I wanted and hoped for BHO to succeed.
I wanted and hoped for him to bring us together and lead us to a more non-racial society.
I wanted and hoped for him to do the right things to bring this economy back.
But, he has been an outright disaster.
He squandered his first term on a healthcare bill, which will just accelerate our economic slide.
He has ONE accomplishment of which he can boast.
The killing of OBL.

Yes, especially in light of the fact that Romney will more than likely be the guy we send against Obama.

I have stated publicly that this Republican will campaign for Obama if Romney is our nominee-- regardless of who he chooses for his VP.

I hope, along with with a few of my colleagues I have spoken with about his VP, we hope that Rubio is not offered the chance and we hope that if Rubio is offered, that he politely declines.

Rubio doesn't need Romney's stink on him!
Rubio doesn't need to allow himself to pimped by our party to get the Hispaic vote. What we need are common sense policies and people who can explain and enact such policies without offending people.

We have a great platform, but too many of our GOP brothers and sisters are stuipid when it comes to any group of people other than white people.

I'm not a fan of Romney either. But the present administration is destroying the rule of law and doing damage to the Republic.

Please review those that the President has appointed to advise him. Many are socialistic/progressive.

JD - what political party was in power when the slaves were freed?
What political party made sure that the black vote was counted immediately following the civil war?
What political did the first blacks in congress belong to?
What political party was the leading party for civil rights in the 60's?
Now, what party did all of the southern obstructionist to civil rights belong to?

Now, you tell me why the switch. I know why and so do you.

...um, satan?

Which political party is Christ?
Politics is a most excellent way to divide you.

bb - quit pricking my conscience...
I would say, as I have posted before, that I wonder if we should even be involved in politics.
It seems as though it does divide more than unite.
I sometimes wonder if we would take our passion for politics/political parties/candidates and apply it to the saving of souls, how much better it would be.
God help us to be as passionate about souls as we are about other things.
