Scientist: Evolution debate will soon be history

Oh will it ???

Snippet from Article:

"If we're spreading out across the world from centers like Europe and America that evolution is nonsense and science is nonsense, how do you combat new pathogens, how do you combat new strains of disease that are evolving in the environment?" he asked.
______________________

Does this atheist think we are stupid?

It is in the papers and new scientific journals all over the world that many pathogens are created through genetically modifying and engineering techniques. Who does he think he is kidding?

It wasn't that long ago that the news media reported that they were digging up bones from the 1918 Spanish flu victims to gather information from the virus that killed millions of people. They said that they would look for "cures". But...within a few years we got this swine flu that started on the wrong hemisphere during the wrong season.

Know why I have a problem with that? Because never before has a natural illness from animals ever "jumped species" from a living animal to a human.

The scientific community has been manipulating and studying microbes and viruses and genetically altering them for a long long time.

Snippet:
"If you don't like the word evolution, I don't care what you call it, but life has changed. You can lay out all the fossils that have been collected and establish lineages that even a fool could work up. So the question is why, how does this happen? It's not covered by Genesis. There's no explanation for this change going back 500 million years in any book I've read from the lips of any God."

Leakey insists he has no animosity toward religion.

_________________

How does he know that there is any "change"?

How does he know or not know that maybe some life forms died out in the flood?

The scientific community cannot prove that mankind has "evolved" from animals or even from a single life form. They admit that they have been looking for the "missing link" for hundreds of years.

Science did not start with Darwin. Science was existent during the Old Testament. Man has been trying to prove the Bible wrong for hundreds of years. They still cannot.

i did a small blog on this, cause here in tenneessee they passed a bill that during the study of evolution, if some one brings up creation it must be discussed and the possibilty must be taught on.

I did the blog wondering why evolution is still being taught, when current science has disproved this theory over and over.

anyway here is a link to the blog plus inside it has more links to support my argument.

Um, you guys see evolution as opposing creation
or something? I have never felt this, I wonder why not?
I see a perfect image of God in everything having literally
evolved from nothing; to hydrogen (which
mirrors our perfecting relationship with God; one center,
one orbiter) to everything else.

I still haven't put this on an Fkey, lol, but what happens
if (when) you find yourself in the position of the RCC
v Galileo, Copernicus, et al? Ty

Re: Scientist: Evolution debate will soon be histo

My (admittedly general) understanding
of evolution in man has it that it is no longer
a Q of "Are we evolving," but
"Why are we evolving so quickly?"

You might explore the evolution of blood types;
fascinating, to me anyway, and insightful,
on more than one level.

It might (will) change your dietary habits
for the better, when matched with the
knowledge of your blood type, which you
are most likely unaware of right now, and
which is being purposely obscured
from you (1975, blood typing pee strip, $6;
1990, lab test required--dates made up, but not the info)
T2W could surely verify that. Peace.

I believe that God has designed micro evolution (adaptation) in His creation....but there is no evidence that I have seen of Macro evolution.

He must have because it exists. It is observable in nature and the lab and makes the initial story at the start of this thread sort of nonsensical. It neither proves nor DIS-proves evolution in any sense.

yes evolution and creation cannot exist together. one is a liar. either God formed man from the dust or we came from a single celled bacteria that some out survived the mass effects of space with out protection to produce life.

nah it was just a dream of a man is all it was..

well science did a study over 35 years with fruit flies, cause they go from egg to full life span in 20 days.

they tried to force natural selection, however even though the flies had some adaptations, not mutations it was a big failure.

they still ended up with fruit flies. and the problem with some of these adaptations ended up with the subject becomming sterile and not able to produce offspring.

really there isnt nothing to support darwinism, expecially when those living fossiles they discovered really shoots a hole in their theory

I guess maybe this depends upon ones
perspective; I'm sure the deniers will be
as forgiven as the RCC has :heeheehee

Hence, prolly, the "Or has it?"

Surely a rerun for most--who don't
have me on "ignore" anyway--but
a reflection to consider:
An image of God?

It's only reflected in...everything?
The dust of the earth?

Of course the evolution debate will be over soon, Jesus is coming soon and when he does that is that, no more nonsense talk about evolution.

Hmm, why do you say Christ
is returning soon? Just curious,
and amen, no more nonsense about
de-evolution in the face of facts, either.

How does one present truth
to the Inquisition? :lol

I'm pretty sure the debate will
end soon because people will become
increasingly embarrassed to postulate
that the world is flat.

There is STILL a fringe element that claims the world is flat... and hollow. I would imagine if you looked far enough there would be some fringe Appalachian churches that claim that the Sun still revolves around the Earth.

After all the Psalms clearly make reference to the Four corners of the Earth and to repeat what my young Earth brotheren say, "Either you believe the world is flat, like the bibles says, or you better just throw the whole thing away!".

And yet you and I have seen at least one other choice,
that being to disregard him in this matter. Has he plucked his eye out yet?
I mean, really? 4 corners is a translation? Could you maybe get him a clue for his birthday?

Ok, I'm being evil, but really, I'm having this same conversation
on like 5 threads right now--can we all see that we initially read Scripture
in our own translation because the complete truth would not be acceptable
to us?

If all you ever do is read the KJV, or memorize it even,
"scratch the surface" is applied to you generously.
I'm arguing evolution with people who have to scrape
hair from their face everyday, for...yikes.

I've known more than one normally-haired (not hirsute)
person with actual patches of fur, not hair, just a weird
patch of fur, on their back or whatever...let me search, hang on...

ok, until duckduckgo takes over, the best I can do,
apparently, is hypertrichosis, not the same. Sorry.

Nah....not for a couple weeks yet.

I just sometimes get the giggles when I read the many different opinions on these forums.

I'm learning to have a big tolerance and respect everybody pov.

Sometimes though it just makes me laugh. :lol

No kidding; I mean, I'd like to think I have tolerance,
but even tolerance has a limit. We're talking like...
zombie stupid, imo. Sorry.
