Sandusky: GUILTY

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/ncaaf--...e-cleland.html

BELLEFONTE, Pa. – Jerry Sandusky was found guilty Friday night on 45 of 48 counts of child sexual molestation and faces up to 442 years in prison.
A jury of Sandusky's Centre County, Pa., neighbors determined that the former Penn State defensive coordinator sexually abused children over a 15-year period, using his stature as a local coaching hero and his position with the Second Mile charity to target and then violate at-risk kids from the area.
The jury deliberated for about 20 hours after a trial that stretched across eight days at Centre County Courthouse.

Here's hoping he experiences some of the "man!" love in prison that he gave to his young visitors, but like my wife says, they'll probably put him in some safe senior area of prison on account of his age.

Maybe THIS will be his new boyfriend. :)

Jurors ..we aint spending the weekend sequestered ,lets grab a free meal and vote :) ps when one of your own foster sons(1 of 6 i think) says your guilty your guilty.Good thing Paterno is dead,he couldnt quite wrap his mind around this one i promise ya.Whats really disgusting is most of the campus knew he was guilty because they had an ice cream dish named after him at their campus creamery called "the sandusky",which was two cones upside down ,"the only ice cream dish you dont have to ask for nuts on" ,true story !

Child molestation cases really should be immediately remanded to Texas for sentencing. :thumbsup

I think at some point his delusion left him and he realized this would be the result. No way to bluff or talk your way out of this. Too much evidence and witnesses.

Sick puppy.

I had the unfortunate event of reading one of the articles about him last night and I literally had nightmares and a hard time sleeping.

Hard to read the articles without wanting to throw up. I know the man was entitled to his day in court, but it surely irritated me that he insisted on dragging the victims through this again, especially when his attorney won a ruling that the victims could not testify anonymously. That was unnecessary.

Yeah. I guess he wanted to victimize them one last time.

Re: Sandusky: GUILTY

One of the reasons he wasn't put on the stand, is that his attorneys didn't want one of his adopted sons to testify. Because the Prosecution had him ready to testify.

I almost feel like she should be charged too. I guess there is probably no proving anything unless a victims said she was there. But I am angry with her, for sure. Maybe she knew nothing but it seems like willful ignorance to me.

Yeah, in a lot of cases the wife knew somewhere in her mind things were going on. Even when it's their own kids, so it's a dirty family secret.

She walked in on him and a young man at least once she said they were engaged in sexual activity. Later she changed her story.

If that is true she perjury herself when she testified.

I don't want to judge but since it went on so long it seems to me if she did not know she surely must have thought some things strange to say the least...Maybe she was scared? Who knows?

I pray that he gets saved. No one is sitting at home on a boring afternoon and says to themselves, think I'll sexually abuse a kid today.

Actually, he was probably thinking just that, and not just when he was bored.

Most sexual abuse is a case of opportunity. And he had just the right job for that. And I read that other coaches at Penn State actually showered at the same time athletes were showering. And I am wondering if it's widespread at other schools.

But to actually take them to his home, it was premeditated.

I read a book about sociopaths not too long ago. Sandusky seems like a sociopath to me. I think the only reason he would commit suicide is to avoid prison. I don't think he is sorry at all. I doubt it if he ever will be. How can anybody with a conscience do what he did? I don't know if there is any hope for anybody like that. I'm not going to be lining up to help him out, personally.

There's always HOPE at the Cross of Jesus Christ...Jesus came for people like him...
Jesus shed his blood for the sins of Mr Sandusky
Jesus gave his life for Mr Sandusky's life

Matt 9 (NIV)
11 When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
12 On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’[a] For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
To every believer the promise of God;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives
.

No, that is not true. Some people's consciences are seared.

In God's view, we're all as bad as Mr Sandusky.

Rom 3 (NIV)
For we have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under the power of sin. 10 As it is written:

“There is no one righteous, not even one;
11 there is no one who understands;
there is no one who seeks God.
12 All have turned away,
they have together become worthless;
there is no one who does good
,
not even one.”[b]

I'm not trying to excuse Mr Sandusky's offences. I'm just trying to highlight that we as Christians should not forget what GRACE is all about...:nod

I know what grace is all about. If Mr. Sandusky prayed a prayer of repentance and was baptized, I would say well and good but keep him locked up and away from all kids everywhere.

May God have mercy on all of our souls then. Sometimes we all want to think we are more righteous than others because we do not do what we consider to be vile. What if, in God's eyes, sin just shows up to God as a big ugly splotch indistinguishable from another sin? What if the sin of hate without a cause shows up the same as the sin of adultery or homosexuality?

Or what if it is just a stench and God does not distinguish or separate the smell. ..like there isn't a different smell of a lie from murder?

1Cor.6:11
And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Without God I believe there is the potential for any of us to be as
the vilest of sinners

James 4:17
Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

Yes Sis Falla.

Many Holy Ghost filled people have the potential to fall to temptation of hating without cause, lying, committing adultery or fraud, sneaking designated collection monies for personal use etc.

I digressed. TGBTG's post got me to thinking....dangerous stuff :D.

It is scary that there are so many in trusted positions taking advantage of children. We do not expect our children, at any age to be coerced and molested by people we pay or trust.
There was a man in podunk city here in the region who molested several children...long time before he was caught. He cried like a baby when he got caught.

Oh, I am not saying such people should be allowed to take advantage of kids...I guess I'm just concerned for his soul...

I hope he encounters God before his time is up...

I suspect he cried because he got caught. I wonder if he cried while he was hurting those children?

I think we all hope he repents. I just doubt that he will. It is my opinion, this is a man with a seared conscience.
