How Hot Is It Where You Are?
 

Today it was an unbelievable 107 degrees in my Middle Tennessee town! I felt like I was back in Texas.

The good news is that here it cools down by about 8 pm and is pleasant all night.

Well I'm still in Texas ... that place that you remember as HOT... and it is not cooling down. Night before last it was 92 at 10pm... ugh!

70 degrees right now here in the northwest at 8 p.m. Thankfully it has warmed up today. Last night at this time, it was about 49 degrees!

I think it got up to 101 here in SW Ohio.
It's 81 now.

People with respiratory problems (my lungs are operating at about 50 percent) were warned to stay inside. I only went out to go to the bank drive through and to pick up an order at the Printer. Later I was out for a few minutes watering some flowers.

Yikes! All these high temps make me glad I'm up here in the Northwest!!! Still feels like spring weather here compared to weather in most other parts of the country!

yes i live in middle tennessee also it was hot . the battery in my van went out while we was shopping at krogers, and the place i work is a big 4 walled building with a tin roof, it was definatly miserable yesturday.

107 here yesterday, broke the previous record for June which was 105.

Supposed to be 104 today.

Saturday was supposed to be a date day for me and my wife. We were going to take our old 1976 Mercedes 450sl convertible on a beautiful drive to Fayettville TN to eat at Honey's and look at all of the stores around the town square.

However convertibles are miserable on extremely hot days AND the old Mercedes A/C works fine on normal days but does not put out cold air like a modern A/C so I have a feeling it could not handle 107 degrees. So much for the plans of mice and men!

The high should be up to 110 today and 111 tomorrow. The Phoenix valley is the only place that is normal for this time of the year. LOL

107 right now in Nashville.... and almost 12 inches deficit of rain... major drought.

In all seriousness, please pray for us that we get some rain in the Nashville area, and please pray that folks use some common sense Wednesday with fireworks. Just a little spark could make folks lose property.... so please pray that we get some much needed rain soon.

100 outside, 115 next to the oven in the bakery I work in (key word being bake). It was 109 near one exit. I drank probably a half to 3/4ths of a gallon of (thankfully!!!) gatorade provided by the company - and I still cramped up!!! Ugh.

Nevertheless, I am thankful for my job! Allows my wife to stay at home with my soon to be 2 year old.

A couple of hours ago my son came in and said his phone said it was 112. I thought that was crazy so I went to weather.com and sure enough my town was 112 degrees!!

I honestly did not think it was possible for Middle Tennessee to get this hot. I am praying the central A/C units at the house hold up.

I don't worry about the AC units so much as the power plants given the Campaigner in Chiefs EPA and its chilling effects on electric production.
