After a quick check this of the roughly 97 names that were considered as invitees to the Pontiac meeting.... Only 26 are still UPC. That's the equivalent of loosing a district. Almost all of those that exited were under 40. Many of those 26 that are still in will exit or be forced out in the next year.

what do you think the issue is? why do you think they will be forced out?

This discouraged GM so much that they discontinued the Pontiac.

do you consider people leaving the upci as backsliders or not knowing God? surely not. that would mean that the upci holds all rights to salvation and anyone outside her would be apostate..

If I remember correctly, this wasn't a church sanctioned event.

United Pentecostal Church International is found in the first 2 chapters of Acts.

And when the Day of Pentecost was fully come they were all with one accord in one place.... Acts 2:1

Here you have United (one accord) and Pentecostal (Day of Pentecost)

and the Lord added to the church.... Acts 2:47 here you have church

ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.... Acts 1:8 That's International.

Put them together and what have you got? United Pentecostal Church International
