If that sin was before she came to know JESUS, we would do best to not mention it again because the BLOOD of JESUS cleansed her. It should not have been mentioned here. If the sin is after conversion, then we need to make sure she is free and watch her closely. I am not taking up for her as I don't really care for her ministry for other reasons. NONE OF US would want our sins (prior to salvation) brought up. They are COVERED BY THE BLOOD.

It wasn't before Christ. Not that it matters, but she was a preacher and singer in the church she grew up in before full on backsliding (late teens I think according to her I believe) and eventually becoming a flight attendant in NYC, where she came back to God.

But yes you are right, she made it right (I assume).

REALLY!?!?! Wow. I lived in Memphis for ten years (COGIC HQ), this kinda surprises me. Gay choir person, never surprised. Gay preacher, I am now. I heard the COGIC is now kinda in a hot mess since Bishop Patterson died. I hope this isn't the case, I really do.

Yes, she was raised COGIC but she was baptized in and was baptizing in Jesus Name for about a decade while and right before she was married to her most recent ex-husband who's a former P.A.W. Bishop. She used to preach hardcore holiness as well... but she got wrapped up in the money and in her ex-husband... and that didn't end up to well...

I do pray for her because I have relatives that used to be apart of her and her husbands ministry... back when as they would say "...they were teaching right".

...And yes there are a lot of gays in COGIC...

It was before Bishop Patterson died... the mess just kept quiet because they knew Bishop Patterson took a hard stand for holiness. Now it's out loud and about. I grew up in a COGIC church as a child... we called it "the sanctified church"... now not so much.

She spoke at a UPCI church in 2003? I think it was Woodlawn. I remember hearing about it when I lived in Alabama.

To this day, her ministry inspires leads many to repentance and salvation.

If this woman has repented and turned her life around, I have no idea why this title is being presented here on AFF. Are we digging through the blood of Jesus Christ? I thought that was the devil's job to keep us pressed down with condemnation.

I've been in church "all" my life, too, but I've had times when I wasn't very close to God and I definitely did some things I shouldn't have during those times. I wouldn't want anyone dredging up sins I've repented of and holding them over my head so I'm not going to do that to anyone else.

Growing up in the church doesn't make someone a Christian and it definitely doesn't mean they have a relationship with God. My children have grown up "in" church, but until they have a relationship with God for themselves, everything is "before Christ."

Indeed. She's been set free from that as far as we know. She's suffered through a lot of other issues, the saints need to continuously be lifting her up in pray.
