Weeks needs to get his duff out of the DL and back to 2B.... my fantasy team needs to start performing to justify all those high-round picks :club

Don't look now, but the Cards have moved up to second place in the anemic NL Central. A mere 6 and 1/2 games behind the Brewers.

Dear Pastor Poster, LaGirl and Pianoman:

Let's just look at the current standings until they are not in first place.

Yes Albert did just hit 2 homers in a game to Win over Houston. But Houston we have a problem.

It was so sweet to see Sweet Lou just melt down to the Nuclear Core over the weekend.

As for the Brewers we have the #1 and #2 Homerun hitter.

He have a top flight rookie thirdbaseman in Ryan Braun just up from AAA.

I look for the Brewers to win the division.

Only because we are the sorriest division in MLB.

I know the Brewers will win more than 83 games....

I am heading out the Brewers and Cubs game tonight....

It will be a blast......

Weeks is not a Lead Of hitter. He will struggle when cming back if they put him in Leadoff.

Nahum 06-04-2007 02:22 PM

Cards management doesn't care if they win or not this year. They did nothing to improve the team. I hope the Brewers win if the Cards don't.

i dont care if he is lead-off.... i only expect .280 20-20 out of him.... 15-15 is probably closer to what he'll end up with though....

BrotherEastman 06-04-2007 03:55 PM

I predict that the Brewers will barely be above .500 this year.

LaGirl 06-05-2007 11:55 PM

we won yesterday....lost tonight :-(

Nahum 07-30-2007 08:49 PM

Are the Brewers gonna choke?

Milwaukee 57 49
Chicago Cubs 55 49 1 game back
St. Louis 49 53 6 games back.

It's gettin' hot up in here!

Truly Blessed 07-30-2007 09:12 PM

Sorry, but it doesn't really matter anyway because the team to beat this year is my team, the Boston Red Sox!!!! :)

DividedThigh 08-07-2007 09:41 AM

Yes, they will hold the lead...Prince Fielder has been a bit quiet in a homerun drought ...he'll have to step things up again soon to ensure their playoff spot

DividedThigh 08-07-2007 10:45 AM

Milwaukee 60 53 .531 - -
Chicago 58 53 .523 1.0
St. Louis 51 58 .468 7.0
Houston 49 63 .438 10.00
Cincinnati 47 64 .423 12.0
Pittsburgh 44 64 .407 13.5

Things have really changed since the inception of this thread… Cubs have bounced between being dead even and being 1 game behind – Playing Houston the next several days, they should grab nearly all the games…possibly make a sweep of the entire series … in fact most of the month looks pretty easy for the cubs and then the last week of August there’s a Cubs/Brewers series!

Where's a good place to stay?
