Baptized With Fire

Matthew, Chapter 3, 011: I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire

Have you been baptized with fire?

No, you have not.

None of you have.

You can not read this out of a book and you will not be able to guess your way through it or make it up as you go. You will get caught if you try.

How did it teach you this? Did you go through it step by step with the bible?

So you no longer have your sin nature? Is this right?

Right because God removed it.

This is why you don't understand...

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

And you have spiritually discerned that I do not understand the baptism of fire?

Is this right?

Let me make sure I did not misunderstand you. You are telling me that Jesus baptized you with fire and that when Jesus did this, God removed all your sin nature.

Is this right?

Luke 10-11-2012 09:54 PM

Re: Baptized With Fire

Yes at the point of entire sanctification (baptism of fire) which was an instantaneous second definite work of grace my simful nature was removed.

It is not right. It's obvious that you don't understand it and it doesn't take discernment to see something so obvious

Did Jesus ever have a sinful nature?

What exactly is it that you see that is so obvious that, I do not understand about it?

Re: Baptized With Fire

Jesus never had a sin nature and as I assume that I know where you are going I would first advise you look at the difference in the terms "sanctify" and "entire sanctification" also look at the different ways it is applied to different things.

Was Jesus baptized by fire?

Luke 10-11-2012 10:10 PM

As Jesus never had a sin nature He had no need for entire sanctification.

Since God did the work of removing the carnal nature He already knows it gone.

You need to take that up with him. Trying to convince me is a waste of your time.

But I most certainly do appreciate your will to try. We do not have
to go no further.
