The History of Eugenics
I thought this was quite interesting. I don't necessarily agree with all of what these people say but I thought their viewpoints were interesting. This is the first part of 13 parts (the rest is on youtube) but I have never before considered birth control and abortion from a racist aspect. I would like to hear thoughts and opinions on this:

Oh, and one of the videos shows a very offensive "advertisement" that was made for teens. They give fair warning before showing it though. It was really offensive. :(

Re: The History of Eugenics
I watched this about 2 years ago. It is interesting.
Eugenics is something that has been advocated by many people in power, although you will never hear them say so. |

Re: The History of Eugenics
From some of the websites about this subject that I looked at, they report that most of the people in PP are compartmentalized. They just do the job they were hired for and know nothing about eugenics. Most of them have the same beliefs....like women should have a choice about what to do with their bodies. Lots of propaganda is involved when counseling a woman who is quite vulnerable in early pregnancy.

Re: The History of Eugenics
"The Fernald School, and others like it, was part of a popular American movement in the early 20th century called the Eugenics movement. The idea was to separate people considered to be genetically inferior from the rest of society, to prevent them from reproducing.
Eugenics is usually associated with Nazi Germany, but in fact, it started in America. Not only that, it continued here long after Hitler's Germany was in ruins." www.cbsnews.com/8301-18560_162-614728.html |

Re: The History of Eugenics
The eugenics movement is alive and well today all over the world. It is just disguised using one form or another.
Euthanasia will be coming on the legal scene fairly soon. |
