Being long gone for awhile, I noticed some old faces (meant figuratively, not literally) & some new identities I do not know.
Where are the old stalwarts like Esther, The Mrs, PO, & others I may be missing?

TheMrs has been out of the country, she checks in from time to time. PO is over politics :D and stays busy with her grandkids.

I went and looked today to see how long I was gone and was surprised to see that I was gone for a year... to the very day.

My last post was 1/9/2012 and my first returning post was on 1/9/2013. Weird.

Yep... it's good to see Ron back. When I left a year ago Ron was a rare sight around here.

I finally got the Surgery at the end of Nov at a private clinic. It could have happened a lot sooner but I was in the tennis match.
Public Hospital: He belongs in WCB they'll take care of it. Serve-thwack.
WCB: Nothing wrong with him Return:thwack

And on & on it goes. I walked into the operating room that was so big we could have had Waltz lessons in there.
I told the Anasthesist that I have a tendecy tosnore & talk in my sleep (or so my wife claims) so if I happen to say who shot JR--disregard it.
He said no you won't & then knocked me out!!
I woke up groggy & thought to myself, man some people pay money to feel like this, they are nuts.
My throat was scratchy & that was because they shoved a big tube down my throat so they asked me if I wanted a Ginger Ale & I said sure.
I then said, where's my car keys?
They said, no way, your Pastor is going to come and pick you up, will bring you downstairs.
They then proceded to tell me that I was impaired to drive & I thought--WHAT??
I haven't drunk alcohol in over thirty years!

On the plus side my ankle is much, much better although it looks like frankenstein what with the two long scars on either side & the two holes that they used to put the camera & roto-rooter in.:foottap

PS, Don't look on you tube to see what kind of surgery you are going to have before surgery!:thumbsup

If elections are what it takes to get people back, we could do that. Remember how we used to vote on here all the time? And lists....... oh my goodness! The LISTS we made!! I know - let's make a list: Who has been gone the longest? Or who are we the most glad to see back? Or who has the most staying power and has stayed on thru thick and thin? See! 3 ideas already!

I do remember the Christmas Greetings, Ron! that was very special and I really appreciated it!!

My family is doing good. Walt is now "retired", but actually on disability. We were very blessed because he applied for Social Security Disability and was ok'd for it the very first time. That's not a common occurrence :) Both of our sons are still living at home, but graduated from High School. Justin spent one year in college and decided he hated it, so he's working in a factory now. Seems to like it. Keith is working at McDonald's for now (4 years now). But he has applied to Chrysler (Jeep) and gone thru the interview process, the drug screen and the assessment test. They've told him that when they finally call people to start up again, he will be among those called. Probably in May. He'll make VERY good money working for Chrysler and the benefits are terrific. So yes, we're doing good thanks :)
