Looks like I'm gonna' have to alter this thread to get any responses. Let's see.....

"I heard that a (oops I forgot....) prominent preacher from Memphis said there were some hard sayings!!!" Reckon that will get it going? :happydance :heeheehee

What I'm really "thinkin'" about are those scriptures that when looked at from the human, fleshly aspect, and taking into consideration the day in which we live are "hard sayings!"

How about this? Ro 13:9 "For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Which type of "hard" is the issue, here? Hard to obey, or hard to understand? Or both? :)

Well, it started as "hard to obey..."
Nope; they are a metaphor, methinks.

But all those pale, in a sense, up next to the ones that--it ends up being-- others will judge us for:

How about the verse(s) that essentially say
"If you aren't willing to put Christ before family, and COUNTRY, etc..."
