Evangelists who have touched your life
 

I was thinking of different evangelists over the years that have ministered
to me and have had an impact on my life.
Here are a few that have been a blessing in my life, and through whom our
church has experienced great revivals.

Tom Trimble for one. He is better known as a songwriter, but I think he is
a better preacher than he is a singer and songwriter, and that is saying
something.

Danny Pitts of Hartselle AL is another minsiter that has been a
blessing to our church over the years and through whom I have been blessed
.

What are a few of your favs that you have been blessed by over the
years?

The late Charles Mahaney was preaching the night I got the Holy Ghost.

Time Copeland out of our home church has been one of the greatest evangelist in Pentecost and is now a great pastor.

Keith Clark preached a 12 week revival in our home church that was one of he greatest I have ever been privilege to be in.

Marty Gibson a great evangelist and one of my best friends.

I need to add Charles Mahaney to my list as well.
We had an awesome revival with him a few years ago.
He was scheduled to preach at a rally at our church the week
after he died.

Come on guys! Let someone post on something controversial and it will
get dozens of replies ASAP. I'm trying to start a positive post, where we can
share positive things that we have received in our lives, and no one wants
to respond???

Charles Mahaney got me on fire for God in the late 70's as a teen. What an inspiration!

I had a blast playing the Bass guitar as he played the Hammond at my old church.

Someone mentioned Simeon Costa. He preached a revival at our church nearly 10 yrs ago. I remember that in that service, I experienced the
spirit of intercession in one of the most powerful ways I have ever felt.

He is always fasting and praying... Good guy...

One that comes to mind is George Glass Sr.. I have only heard him on tape, but what a powerfull minister he was.

The evangelist who most touched my life is the one who held meetings at one of the churches we pastored back home in a little country village. During those 2 weeks of meetings over 40 people received the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Backsliders prayed back through and a number of people were saved during those meetings. It was awesome and it sure impacted me.

His name was Robert Baker. :)

Through the years, I've been privileged to hear the cream of the crop.... however, my mind always goes back to many years ago when I received the Holy Ghost in a revival with.... Curtis & Simeon Young and their sister Dorothy. I'll never forget them! The power of God was so very strong in those services!

I know both Bro Lance and Bro West. I used to refer to Bro West as God's hitman. :D

Brother Narlock is pretty cool. At least if it's the same Bro Narlock I know. The one I know was, well, how can I describe it? He didn't slow down for one second the whole time he was in the pulpit. :)

Simeon Young pastored a church I used to attend in Terre Haute. Both he and his son were pastors there.

I hear that West went lib!!! I checked out his site yesterday. I've come to my own conclusions.

Lance has always been a god-send. The church was always filled with youth from the high school when he would preach for us.

Probably the same one...and he doesn't slow down. His parents and other family attend my church. In fact, my dad was his pastor.

hmmmm probably Tim Greene.... otherwise numerous camp preachers touched my life as well....

Sister Smalley preached a revival where I recieved the Holy Ghost...love her!

I agree. How would Billy Graham affect one's life? I am not criticizing anyone who claims he did, because he obviously did. But the guy bores me to no end. I mean, the pope is in the same bracket. ;)

I suppose you could call her that as she travels and preaches most every weekend. She is one of my very favorites!:highfive
