Wedding Dress Made Into...

My niece wants to make her wedding dress into a quilt and give to her daughter for a wedding present. She also has 3 boys and is thinking of making handkerchief for them to wear on their wedding day.

Some have made pillows and baby blankets and etc from their dresses.

Any suggestions?

Btw, her daughter can not fit into her dress.

She is thinking of putting her wedding picture in the middle.

Pinterest had some interesting designs.

Still looking for the idea suggestion.

Yes I like that idea also. Of course now it would have to be a grand baby.

I agree.

We are thinking of embroidering their names and wedding date in her wedding colors of burgundy.

Now that would clearly be a wonderful heirloom. Good luck with it!

Note: I didn't mean to hit the heeheehee Smile on Renda's post. I am so used to hitting it, I didn't realize I had done that until after I hit submit. lol

Considering imprinting wedding picture, pic of bridesmaid, groomsmen, and group pic. Plus she is wanting to use her going away outfit as part of the quilt.

Normally, but after nearly 9 years my wife is nearly the exact same weight that she was on our wedding day. :)

(I, on the other hand, gained about 10 lbs.)

Oh, it's because she is short. You look 7'0 next to her. My son is 6'0 and not much taller than me. My mother is 5'3 and my dad was 6'0. :D

Those are pretty transfigurations of the wedding dresses.

A ring bearer's pillow would be neat.

Mine has been hanging in the closet for 28 1/2 years. I wonder if I could do something with it?

I don't think anybody would ever fit into it. I was a size 4-5 on my wedding day.

LOL

If there is any organza on the dress, it can be gathered and sewn in around the pillow edges like lace.
