Westboro Baptist church Defections
 

One of the most prominent members of the Westboro Baptist church has left it after spending her life as part of the fervently anti-gay movement.
Megan Phelps-Roper, who looked after social media for the church best known for its slogan "God hates ****", announced her departure in a post on the blogging platform Medium in which she also revealed her younger sister Grace, 19, was also leaving.

Phelps-Roper writes: "We know that we've done and said things that hurt people. Inflicting pain on others wasn't the goal, but it was one of the outcomes. We wish it weren't so, and regret that hurt.
"We know that we dearly love our family. They now consider us betrayers, and we are cut off from their lives, but we know they are well-intentioned. We will never not love them.

"We know that we can't undo our whole lives. We can't even say we'd want to if we could; we are who we are because of all the experiences that brought us to this point. What we can do is try to find a better way to live from here on. That's our focus."

Praying for them. The condemnation is going to be hard to overcome without a mentor. I pray for a mentor in their lives.

While the Westboro Church is a little too outspoken for my likes, there is another story to this Church that isn't told.
Apparently, the Pastor many years ago was taking his kids? grandkids, to the park & there were homosexuals not easly concealed doing their dirty deeds.
He complained to the cops & City, but there was an indifference & a callousness toward what should be condemmed by most people, yet seems to be that the authorities are compacent.
Puts them in another light.

No it does not put them in another light and, I doubt the story. In most cities even here in So Cal that activity is very illegal and there are often vice raids on said activities and locations

It is ilegal here as well & as you may or may not know, Vancouver is known as San Fransisco North with a large Homosexual population.
Those activities go on as well here & yes, sometimes the cops do something but more often then not, they look away. I myself had the misfortune of seeing two men going at it in a car at a park.
Thank God that only happened once.
At the Vancouver Pride Parade that happens in July they have what the Pride group calls, "bikes with dykes" & they are topless.
Some spectators who have attended the parade say that there are depictions of acts with one another & Bdsm.
The cief of police as well as cops march in the parade.
Prax, it is much worse then you realize.

There is a book out called, "when the wicked seize the city."
It tells about a man who stood up & preached against sin including homosexuality, & people threatened his life, firebombed the Church.
San Fran & Vancouver may be a larger portion than other places--but it is out there. Don't fool yourself.
There is a lot of disinformation out there as well.
Remember the story of Mathew Shpherd in Wyoming?
There is another story researched by 20/20 that shows he was killed over a drug deal, but the Homosexual lobbyists in the States tried to make it a hate crime.

I think the gay and lesbian movements of today have WAY too much power!

I have said this before and will say it again, that being gay is a CHOICE! It is NOT something "you were born with" such as skin color on a black man!

The homosexual community for years has been spouting ........ that they are treated just like blacks were in the sixties....that they are being mistreated because they are "born"
that way. I am sorry, but there is something VERY WRONG with making the comparison that they are just like the black community.

Blacks were slaves in this country at first and then denied their freedoms for decades afterwards simply because of the color of their skin....of COURSE that is wrong.

But Homosexuals say it is something they cannot help and that they are "born" into it just like blacks are born with black skin and because of this.... they should be allowed to marry and have children just like a man and a woman.

Sorry, but when it comes to a child's welfare I am strictly against a man/man or woman/woman relationship raising that child. I am not saying they cannot be loving to that child, but rather that the atmosphere that the child grows up in is tainted into believing that gay marriage is somehow the correct one. Gay marriage is a CHOICE of LIFESTYLE...it is NOT something you were born with!

And NOW...TODAY it seems that if you are against gay or lesbian marriage...YOU are the bad guy. Reminds me of a couple of cities called Sodom and Gomorah!

And we know how well that went.....

As far as westboro, those guys are nuts. Not much more to be said on that one.

The problem with those people that I take exception to, is that although they may be right on some points....they seem to be just as bad as any "hate group" like the KKK or Neo-Nazis!

They do not seem to have any room for telling people that God LOVES them, instead they focus on their sin.

Now I do not make ANY excuses for sin, but the way those people act, I doubt very much if they win one soul to Christ with their "holier than thou" attitude.

What the people in the world need is not to be told how God must hate them, but how God LOVES THEM!!

What is that old saying?..... you can draw more files with honey than vinegar? Well that is what WBC seems to preach...nothing but sermons of hate and pure vinegar!

Look,the Westboro group is not my particular cup of tea, but in an era of political correct speaking it's surprising to see someone who calls abomination just what it is.
I do not know about the States but in Vancouver the homosexual movement is very strong & millitant & has a take no prisoners approach.
They are in our schools & more than once, I had to stand up for my kids & say, "no" & push back as well.
I have had homosexuals scream at me just what they think of God & calliung him a Homosexual & saying just what they wanted to do to me & my family.
A few have been a little open to views on God but not many.
I am sorry if people are offended at Westboro or my views but I have seen another aspect of that Homosexual spirit that is vile & repugnant & if you play pattycake with it you will be eaten for lunch.

Just to clarify a point in which some have asked, do I support or defend them?
Well, I only defend their right to free speach but picketing funerals is a low way to go.
As for their message against Homosexuals, what they are saying may be right, as someone pointed out to me they have lost any credibility & good will long ago, even if they had any.

The whole problem with WBC though, is that they seem to group the "sin" and the "sinner" together. It is as though they cannot be saved and only the "us four and no more" at WBC can be.

It is no better or worse than the hate groups already here in America like the KKK or Neo-Nazis, as long as you agree with them you are fine, but woe unto you if you do not.
