My pastor's wife had broidered hair?

Hi: I received the Holy Ghost and was baptized in Jesus Name, and attended the UPCI church in San Jose for 24 years. I left 13 years ago, and still consider my pastor as a wonderful man, and his family.

My wife always had long uncut hair, but after 17 years, she had 24 inch long split ends. After studying the subject for myself; I was appalled by what I found out: MY PASTOR'S WIFE HAD BROIDERED HAIR? This means that her hair was twined, braided or convoluted. If you tie a veil in knots, can it still conceal the wearer?

Since the womens hair is a veil or covering, if you broider the hair, the womens head is uncovered. Meaning that her ears and neck are not concealed as nature would teach us. Thus my pastors wife had been praying with her head uncovered. It would then be better then if her hair was shorn like a man or shaven. If that is ashamed her veil(hair) should be worn down as nature would teach us to cover her head. Is it not funny that when you point your finger at someone else that there are three fingers pointing back!!!!

I then searched for how did this uncut doctrine that basically said that all women must take a Nazerite vow creap into the church? Some uneducated people took the doctrine from Clarks Commentary.

:happydance

Related to VEIL

Synonyms: blanket, cope, cover, covering, coverture, cover-up, curtain, hood, mantle, mask, pall, penumbra, robe, shroud, cloak, wraps.

If you demand that all women must never cut their hair, what do you think it is?:happydance

It is if one Amish does it forcibly to another, especially if that "other" is Amish. He forcibly cut the beards off his fellow amish.

Wouldn't have to worry about 16 years if he walked into our church and started slashing away with scissors....we are in AZ and we pack around here.... he would suffer lead poisoning right quick.

If some idiot walked into our church, pulled out a pair of scissors and started assaulting (and it would be assault) my wife and daughters, and the other ladies in the church...it would be the right thing to do....anyone who would do that has to be insane or real evil and there is no telling whether he would start slashing other body parts next.....I would blow his stinkin' head off, they would carry him out feet first, and we would have to replace the carpet. Its getting old anyway.

Re: My pastor's wife had broidered hair?

The hair is the natural covering or veil given by God, not a baseball cap. In other words: If you have a Pentecostal UpDo when you are praying, your hair is broidered. The problem in Corinth was that women were wearing their hair up and their heads were thus uncovered. This is what Paul was saying to be ashamed. Jewish women wore their hair down naturally, and it is the grory of the women, because her long hair covers her.

Once again you equivocate veil and covering without evidence. Please prove the hair is a veil.

Putting hair up is not broidered.

Broidered is an old King James word meaning braided.

No where does it say the Corinthian women wore their hair up.

Where does Paul say to be like Jewish women?

In Greek to Broider is plegma:

AV — broidered hair 1 Thayer's Lexicon (Help)

WHAT IS WOVEN, PLAITED, OR TWISTED TOGEATHER

When you have an UpDo, your hair would be twisted togeather (Broidered).

Not necessarily. This is actually talking about elaborate braiding Greek women did with precious gems and items in it, not putting it on top of the head

NOTHING in 1Cor. 11 implies a woman has to wear her hair down. Her head is to be covered not her neck and shoulders. Just saying.

Then what is the purpose of having long hair if it is to be piled on top of her head? Short hair covers the head too.

Cut hair is the opposite of being covered and it has nothing to do with length or style. Komoa means 'let her hair grow NOT let her hair hang down."

That would be like walking with a loud noisy chainsaw

Re: My pastor's wife had broidered hair?

So what it boils down to for some people on this forum:

Cut hair: you go to hell.
No tithes paid: you go to hell.

Apparently what Jesus did on the cross
means nothing to these people.

I talked to a fellow once who drove 150 miles to church and back on sunday.
He said: "I have to do this, otherwise my family will loose salvation"

His pastor told him. (UPCI)

Good grief!

Of course it would do no good because he was unemployed and had no money left for tithes after filling up his truck with all that gas every sunday.

That's right.

Not wanting to be disrespectful but remember this: Just because you declare something, your declaration does not make it the truth.
