Do we have to be baptized by a Preacher? Can't Saint's baptize others?

Didn't you know you NEED to be baptized by a preacher, who was in turn baptized by another preacher who was baptized by..... Going all the way back to Peter?

I believe that every church has their protocols, but there isn't anything in the Bible that suggests that a new convert must be baptized by a preacher.

I know a man who is full of the Holy Ghost baptized people in the Name of Jesus Christ.

I am perfectly ok with it. In fact, when it is time to meet my maker, I may or may not have a man ordained preacher preach my funeral. I may have Holy Ghost filled brothers and sisters do the preaching. :thumbsup

I dont see why it has to be a preacher, Every saved individual is a minister of the Gospel! I believe its valid as long as its done by a believer and its done in Jesus Name!

If I really hated someone I'd baptize them and under my breath say 'F,S, HG' thereby dooming them to hell. I realize they had called upon Jesus themselves and have placed their entire trust in Him, thinking Him to be their Lord and savior but how wrong they'd be. When they heard the words 'I never knew ye' THEN then they would know the man baptizing them had duped them. Too late though, hell is their destination.

Me, I'd simply repent and go on my way.

Pretty good plan, huh?

Anyone who baptizes/lays hands/witnesses should live a consecrated life, or the word of god will turn on them, minister or not. Remember Eli's sons.

I believe that any believer can bring a seeker to the water.

I also believe that any sincere seeker can take themselves down to the water, call on the name of Jesus, and baptize themselves.

This isn't a sacrament with a perscribed ritual. It's an act of faith that is the result of true repentance.
