That cop is a moron...who is able to drive at exactly 65 without deviating a mile or two?

Jesus didn't drive, he walked... :happydance

Although something like this is is silliness... aren't there more pressing things for cops to be doing than pulling people over for something like this!

I hope the judge finds her in contempt of court when she shows up to pay the ticket and tosses her in jail for a week!

Seriously, should there be no laws about a minimum speed on a freeway? Or should cops ignore that law? Or wait for more flagrant violations?

For the record, yes, this cop was unwise in this case, IMO. I don't know the whole story, but just from what was given (e.g., bad weather), it seems that this ticket wasn't warranted. Most likely, if she takes it to court, it won't stand. I'd hope.

But you know how those librul judges are. Prolly throw the book at .... No, wait. That's conservative judges, that like to convict people of crimes. Isn't it? I'm so confused! :lol

The bottom line is, she needed to move to the RIGHT lane if she felt the need to go slower. It wasn't a speed issue so much as impeding traffic. We have TONS (sometimes literally) of people here who drive the speed limit or just below and stick firmly to the left PASSING lane which in turn can and does slow the entire highway down behind them as people try to get around. In some states your only allowed to be in the left most lane for passing purposes, but even if it isn't the law it is considered good driving etiquette.

So, the speed LIMIT is just a suggestion?

It has almost nothing to do with the speed limit. It has to do with being in the relatively "faster" (passing) lane while going below the average speed that the highway is moving at.
