Howdy from the farm! - pic heavy!

I've been away! OK... I haven't really 'been' anywhere but I've been away from the forum as winter blazed in to spring and farm life geared up into overdrive.

In the last month the cows have had 8 new calves, goats have dropped 5 sets of twins and 3 sets of triplets, there have been 3 litters of piglets, over 100 chicks hatched, probably more then that in ducks and I have six geese setting.

The garden is in and the orchard has set fruit.

Another son is planning a wedding here that will finally happen tomorrow and we will gain another daughter and in due time would love to see some more grandchildren from this union.

We are blessed beyond measure! And so with all those blessings I thought I'd like to drop in and share some pictures with you all.

I think your 4th and 5th pictures down from the top are amazing! If you crack their eggs like a 3 or 4 day before they're due to hatch, will they still be alive and blinking?

Love the bees!

I am jealous since we live in an HOA neighborhood I can't have hardly anything. I may have to visit the next meeting, string bean casserole in hand and a Lincoln-like speech ready to give, to try and change things.

I enjoyed the pictures of the animals and the farm. Thank's for posting. Other than grandbabies, there's nothing sweeter than a baby goat or piglet.

Obviously good pork is a gift from God Himself. I've never had goat though.

By the way, I'm partial to the baby chicks. :) I'm even looking at violating our very clear HOA rules and raising some Quail.

So glad you all enjoyed them! I've been missing y'all, I just had to take a break from the computer (except business emails) so I could keep up. Seasons are backwards here and summers, when it's too hot to be alive and the garden is burned up, is the 'down time'.

Been making some soap lately too and finally have some to share.
