A cooking show on Food Network. I actually like it better than Iron Chef America.

Yeah, I was watching Natl Geographic last night.

I think I'm gonna just log off and get out of the house. Go for a run or drive. Think I'll take my dog with me.

If PO were here too we could start another shoe thread.

The beautiful people in their lives or that used to be in their lives.

I miss the way my one of my ex-girlfriends smelled.

I know, I know, kind of awkward...

Hey, the sense of smell is perhaps the strongest thing the human mind remembers!

Well I'm pretty sure her scent is not THE strongest thing that my human mind remembers.

She still is a very beautiful and hard-working committed woman.

Isn't there a commandment that says... Thou shall not show banana split bites to hungry chubby girls trying to stay away from food by hanging out on AFF?... I'm pretty sure it's like number 11....

That kid could fit inside your dog's belly!

Re: Strugglin'

Zeb is an Anatolian Shep. He does not guard livestock, he guards me. He stays in lockstep with me when I am out on the pastures at night and he would take down and tear apart a stranger. He sleeps across the threshold of the front door. He has to be chained during the day because he threatens to bite anyone over 5 feet tall pretty much. He loves kids... and me... and pretty much hates the rest of the world.

That reads like true love to me!

"Anatolian" Shepherd-- did this breed originate in or near Russia?

This is Velcro. He is a Chi-weenie and is a big dog in a little body. He is my buddy and sleeps with me when Don is at work. He was here when Zeb was a baby and to this day Zeb still thinks he is the boss dog!

Re: Strugglin'

I'll have to upload some pic of Joey and Bubble (both girls) to photobucket. Joey got her name from the Kangaroo Joey because she came to me as a 3 week old orphaned mini-weenie. She weighed about 1/2 pound and rode around all day in the pocket of my hoodie to stay warm... I even snuck her to work for a couple of weeks because she was still on a doll baby bottle. Bubbles is another mini-weenie whose owner died and there was no one to take her... I've stopped at 7 because even on a farm that's a lot of dogs... And we are about to start adopting kids... the human kind.

So tell me about the pup in your avatar.

Re: Strugglin'

Her name is Beauty.
Now, she is about three years old.
She is a German Short-haired Pointer mixed with Boxer.

When I bought her as a puppy, she was living underneath a broken down van in someone's back yard. Her and her fellow puppies were kept away from their mother except for feeding time.

My dog never barked for her first two years. She would whine, but not bark. She isn't nearly as skiddish as she used to be, but her nervous bladder, the "I'm going to shoot pee at you when I feel threatened" has subsided very little.

She LOVES to snuggle and cuddle and I allow her to sleep with me on most nights.

Despite her flaws, her company is mutually beneficial.
