Every time I go to a new page I get a pop-up from "fund raising ideas",, how do I get rid of it? Sometimes it freezes the page, so I have to leave aff and come back again.

I have an almost new Windows 8, and I have started having popups too, and I don't know how to stop it as I do have a popup blocker on my computer.

It's very annoying.

I don't think that is from AFF. I never get it. Download Malwarebytes Antimalware, update and run

I turned mine off and I still don't get popups from AFF.

I would also ask, have you installed any tool bars? I am constantly dealing with teachers here who get pop ups because they install bars related to things like couponing and other sales sites.

Our "Fundraiser" for Cindy on the side is an applet from "easy Fundraiser ideas" but even with my popup blocker off I don't get anything.

I suspect Arph is using a really old browser perhaps

I am using a fairly new and completely update MacBook Pro. I went through a spell last week of every time I tried to access the Debate room and a couple of times trying to get back to threads in the fellowship hall where I had this same annoying popup.

It hasn't happened again in the last few days. it also only happened when I was logged in.

I ge it too. I am using Safari on my iPhone. It only pops up on AFF.

Nope, it's happening to me, too. It only happens at AFF; nowhere else. It has to do with the fundraising thermometer that was installed for Cindy's fundraiser. I can do a screen shot next time it happens.

I never install toolbars. Not. Ever. I use the latest version of Safari, and I have no problem with popups. I just haven't had a chance to complain about it. :)

I've tried updated versions of Firefox and IE with no problem. Maybe there is a bad code and my broswers are blocking it or my AntiVirus is blocking it.

I've had that popup, too. I'm Mac Pro using Safari. It doesn't popup every time but does sometimes.

No, I don't think so. Like Prax said, it's probably just bad code and it looks like Safari might be the browser having an issue with it.

I'm just making a show of solidarity with the people complaining. :D I don't have bad internet habits (e.g., downloading toolbars, forgetting to uncheck boxes during installs, etc.), and I'm getting the popup, too. The mere suggestion that I would download a toolbar or search assistant gets my dander up. :girlytantrum :D :D :D

I just feel bad for choosing a sub-par widget that would do that. I chose it because it was small enough to fit in the side column and it was editable.

I've changed it. Hopefully it won't have a bunch of spammy pop-ups attached, but please let me know if it does. :thumbsup
