Obama: "Trayvon Could Have Been Me..."
SOURCE LINK
Obama and Holder won't shut up about TM. They keep making this guy out to be some choir boy. First, Obama says if he had a son, it'd be Trayvon. Now, he's saying "Trayvon Martin could have been me 35 years ago.” Quote:
So sick of this racist President pushing race as a factor. "If a white male teen was involved in the same kind of scenario, both the outcome and the aftermath might have been different." Dear sweet Jesus, help me. This is working on my last nerve. |
Re: Obama: "Trayvon Could Have Been Me..."
"35 years ago, I could have been a Smoking pot racist, fighting and beating up Hispanics."
Well, I don't know if he beat up any Hispanics, but we do know he was a pot smoking racist. |

Re: Obama: "Trayvon Could Have Been Me..."
So I'm watching the video of Obama giving his views about TM, etc etc and I wondered....why is Obama talking about this. He knows it's a hugely divisive issue; he knows he's going to take a lot of heat for commenting on it and taking TM's side on the issue.
Then it dawns on me....Obama had to control the news cycle. This is BRILLIANT strategy by Obama and the West Wing of the WH. Today it was announced that Detroit filed for bankruptcy; and anyone who pays attention in politics can well remember Obama's victory lap around Detroit, where he proclaimed that he and his administration did not let Detroit go bankrupt. Obama also blasted Romney for saying he would allow Detroit to file bankruptcy, that it would be a good thing for the city to do so. Obama jumped all over Romney's comments. Well here we are less than a year later and Detroit is bankrupt. So, Obama had a choice. Either get pummeled for his premature celebration, or be the darling of MSNBC and the blacks that he is and shift focus from Detroit to his "surprise" appearance at the WH Press Conference. Good politics. Dumb Presidential move, IMO makes him racially-biased, small and stupid for taking TM's side; but a brilliant political move. |

Re: Obama: "Trayvon Could Have Been Me..."
What I walked away with from his speech is that the problems that blacks are having is going back to "slavery".

Re: Obama: "Trayvon Could Have Been Me..."
Quote:
And even when he talked about black on black crime, without naming it as such, he blamed the violence in the communities on anger stemming from the historical issues. It was just a terrible press conference. Again, great thinking to take the press' attention away from and off of Detroit; but truly a lot of what he said made no sense whatsoever. |

Someone needs to ask Obama if he would have sucker punched GZ and then Ground and pounded him
|
Re: Obama: "Trayvon Could Have Been Me..."
Quote:
He would do exactly what he is doing now. He "sucker punched" GZ legally by trumping up charges. Now he is doing the "ground and pound" by targeting GZ with civil rights violations and the civil suits. Reports are that the Justice dept. paid for many of the demonstrations against GZ. |

Re: Obama: "Trayvon Could Have Been Me..."
I'm puzzled as to why GZ has become the most hated man on the planet. There are much more vile people walking around in complete freedom that make me look like Mother Teresa.
If TM had killed GZ, GZ would have been hailed a hero and TM would have been tried as an adult and sentenced to life in prison. However, I doubt we would be talking about how GZ was killed because he was a white or Hispanic man in the wrong place, minding his own business and that if he were black, TM wouldn't have killed him. I also doubt the president would be continuing to speak against TM. I doubt white and Hispanic men would be stating that if they had a son, brother, cousin, he would look like GZ. Ridiculous. Let it go already! |

Re: Obama: "Trayvon Could Have Been Me..."
I listened to him say how you hear doors lock when a black man walks across the street....Well I alwaysd lock my car door even when nobody is there or when there is someone of any color.
In fact people lock their doors if I am there. Elevator and a woma by herself clutching her purse? Happens to me when I get on a elevator too and she is alone. I see the same nervousness too. Maybe if I wore a suit it would not happen |

In a sermon delivered shortly after the September 11 attacks in 2001, Wright made comments about an interview of former U.S. Ambassador Edward Peck he saw on Fox News. Wright said:
"I heard Ambassador Peck on an interview yesterday. Did anybody else see him or hear him? He was on Fox News. This is a white man, and he was upsetting the Fox News commentators to no end. He pointed out — did you see him, John? — a white man, he pointed out, ambassador, that what Malcolm X said when he got silenced by Elijah Muhammad was in fact true — America's chickens are coming home to roost."[15] |
Re: Obama: "Trayvon Could Have Been Me..."
That whole speech was just... lame.

I wonder if Obama would have done "Purple Drank" 30 years ago too

n Indianapolis, the Rev. Jeffrey Johnson told about 200 attendees that the nationwide effort is about making life safer for young black men. Johnson said young black men still are endangered by racial profiling

And then I found an audio clip of the the message and listened to it. While I don't agree with many things he said in the message, I had to agree with the part that Hannity and FoxNews were highlighting as bashing America. It was the truth. How can we truly and honestly say, "God bless America," and do so with a straight face? I feel the same way about Obama's comment that "America is not a Christian nation." The majority of Republicans and conservatives threw a tantrum when he said that......but Obama is right. America is not a Christian nation. |

If Obama had a son, he would look like Trayvon.
If Obama had a city it would look like Detroit. If Obama had a country it would look like Cuba. |

Saw Obama double down on the "following" issue with Jay Leno the other night. He's doing that on purpose. Painting Zimmerman as a stalker and not that he was a Neighborhood Watch, watching his neighborhood. It's not his fault he was assaulted. There was no reason for Martin to sucker punch him in the face and then bash his head into a concrete sidewalk. I don't know why they are not focusing on Martin's angry, aggressive behavior. Well, yes, I do know, but how stupid do people really want to be? |
