Religion!

People here and everywhere else who claim they know what God is thinking, or what God expects of them, the end result will be negative. Every Faith on Planet Earth does this and eventually swords will be drawn to protect the "Idea" of unproven territory.

Paul was the perfect "WARNING" to everyone who becomes a fanatic in their Faith. He murdered, imprisoned, and cursed those whom he would soon become; all because he thought he was right, when he was dead wrong.

If a person is truly Born Again, one must see the fallacy and fault of their own Religion, accepting others they don't agree with. Paul was constantly trying to bring people together in a very divided climate of a million ideas that were attached to a previous Faith. This cost him his life.

If we don’t reveal the dark and uncertain side of our beliefs, the delusion of self indignation will smother us in the deceit of our jailed god. Truth comes with research, but be warned; you will discover the very core of how this World became a bondage of Religions, including the Religion of Apostolics.

Truth by no means comes from research. Jesus is THE TRUTH. He is altogether lovely and altogether powerful. The world does not need more new age delusions. It needs Jesus.

Actually, the #1 reason for war is a desire for power by selfish leaders and the selfish populace that puts them into power. Religion is merely ONE aspect of this.

Why do people desire power? And, how do they obtain that power? Most Countries back Leaders who profess a certain Faith, and when the fighting begins, God is on their side.

Religion is the motor of War on this planet, and the Middle East is solid proof of that. When Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, their Leader was considered a "god". When the Trade Towers went down, Religious fanatics were to blame.

Look at the Bible; wars and slaughter were done in God's name, and to this day, the revenge continues.

Ya, I know of no country invading another over their misunderstanding of oneness doctrine. (Not that this couldn't happen in some weird dystopian future.)

Any country invading another unprovoked is ALWAYS because of the leaderships of the aggressor countries desire to control more land and population either because of personal narcissism or the need for more resources. The need for more resources is ALWAYS because they fail to give their own population capitalistic freedom to develop their OWN resources and funds to run their own kingdom.

I personally agree with Randy. Desire for power and other's possessions has always been the chief impetus for war throughout millennia.

The fix for religion....RELATIONSHIP. You can't do what you do as unto the Lord without knowing Him and being in love with Him.

Sure we all can fulfill expectations and a list written for us - but all that means is that we are religious...fact is, we have th KNOW Him in order to make it in the end.

We can do, do, and do somemore, all in the name of Jesus, and be so proud of our works and heritage etc., but until we marry into Him, and until we have an intimate relationship through prayer, worship, and the Word - until we really submit as the bride - then He never knows us...this is where religion is deadly, dangerous, and manipulative.

The reason for war is the sin of lust. The lust for power and wealth. All of the world's most beautiful religions have been exploited to feed this sin.

The vast majority of all truly spiritual people in all religions desire peace.

The Numbeur 1 cause of Hate, Disunity, and War in this world, is because people have not been taught to 'HATE EVIL.” Which is, they have NOT been taught, “the fear of the Lord,” which is to hate evil. Some Religions are even built on hate. That is their agenda for Power. And the desire for power over other people is EVIL.

I agree with many others re the cause of war...greed and power.

Religion often gets a bum rap because of the politics that follows dogma.

But the author of James 1:27 wrote, "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world."

THIS is religion...everything else we debate and defer over gets thrown under the religion bus.

Christianity -- even the true version of it, sometimes referred to as a relationship with Jesus -- causes "disunity" in families. Jesus predicted that it would. He said families would be broken up because of it. Family members would be enemies of each other. He offered a reward -- eternal life! -- to anyone would would forsake their family for his name's sake. He said you must hate your family (compared to how much you must love him, as many have explained to me to make it sound less harsh).

Can anyone deny any of what I just said? It's there in the Bible, in black and white. (Red, in some. ;))

No offense Luke, but the Bible has only been available (in its current version) for only about 200 years. Modern printing presses were invented in the 1800's and literacy (the ability to read) became more apparent by the middle 1800's via the "The Elementary Education Act of 1870".

This is another problem with so many who develop dogmas or ideas that people from yesterday were all carting around Bibles under their arms, thumping everyone with Acts 2:38. People were put to death for possessing a valid copy of a Bible before the 1600's, and even if they had one, most people couldn't read it.
