In the same vein, it is far easier for any of US to pretend to be someone else than it is for Bert to be anyone other than Bert. This is why it takes all of 1 post to usually weed him out.

Re: The Oracle of God

To pray in the will of God is very simple. Being that you are born again. Every born again soul is directly connected to God by the Holy Ghost. Therefore, they are always in constant contact with God through His Spirit. Therefore they talk to God and God talks to them at all times.

I ask God to give me his words to pray for that which I am going to pray. I know that whatever I pray shall come to pass, because I prayed the words that God gave to me, to bring to pass that which I prayed.

That is called praying in the word of God. Or the will of God as you may have it.
You can only do this if you are born again.

This is walking in the Spirit of Faith. ~ The Oracle of God

Okay, Bert, but....WHICH god? Oracles are usually associated with Zeus, originally the Oracle at Delphi. So do you mean that one?

The Lord and I exchanged thoughts about Pat then I asked the Lord to give me something to say to you.

Here is what He gave me permission to say to you.

He said you should have them put this on your tombstone.

Nice try, Orifi... I mean, Oracle. But in this particular case, neither you nor your version of your god thought things through too well. If, when I am dead, I am STILL (according to my tombstone) an atheist TO PRESENT, then that logically means nothing has happened (in hell or in whatever afterlife you and your scriptures claim.)

IMO, at possibly any funeral, probably everyone becomes agnostic for a moment or two, maybe longer, depending on how good the eulogy was or wasn't.

No, my epitaph is already decided. It should simply say,

"Marcbee. In Grave Condition."

I have a word from God for you.

God told me to ask you...

If I can have all your blessings and the blessings of all that pertain to your family, that came from God? If you say anything other than ...NO, to me or do not reply to me, God said He is going to take them all from you and your family and give them all to me, seeing how you no longer believe in Him and do not want anything to do with Him no longer.

So in this presumed "bargain" I am only allowed to say "NO"?

That would be only an ultimatum, not to be prefaced with any kind of "IF." I recall in second or third grade doing a rhetorical trick to my fiends with a nickel, "Heads I win, tails you lose." It kinda bothered me when another third grader could figure out the trick faster than I could the day someone first tried it on me.

So please make it clear--what am I saying "No" to? Your imaginary dog is going to bite me for, what?

Now here's a very potentially productive deal for you and your version of your god. Since the god talks to you so much (even about me personally, and about things I mention, such as Pat Robertson) then please report back to me with a simple piece of information--the ID number on my driver's license, please. Your ability to hear or discern that number from your version of your god would overturn my world view, my life, and restore my faith in your version of your god. If your god has numbers denoting the hairs on my head, then knowing a few more digits on my license would be no problem.

But I can make better predictions than you. My prediction--you cannot do this simple thing, at least simple for a god who already talks to you so much. Instead you will claim some mitigating excuse or other, grounded in your slippy-slidy theology.

See, a prophet more than you.

It is written,

believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God

Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

There is no sacrifice of the Lamb of God
for knowingly and willfully
lying.

After that you have received,
the knowledge of the truth

Just a place
they call
hell.
