Decline Of The Family Unit
 

This is quite a long read, but I know of people who are doing this....very disturbing to say the least.

I'm over 60 years old and I've seen society change from marriage being sacred to divorce being used whenever a selfish life and lust become more important than the marriage. And I know there are divorces for reasons other than that, but I see that mindset becoming more and more prevalent.

I fear to think about what society is going to be for my grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Yes they were, that's polygamy. The article was speaking of something else entirely....

"Polyamory is the nonpossessive, honest, responsible and ethical philosophy and practice of loving multiple people simultaneously. Polyamory emphasizes consciously choosing how many partners one wishes to be involved with rather than accepting social norms which dictate loving only one person at a time. Polyamory is an umbrella term which integrates traditional multipartner relationship terms with more recent terms. Polyamory is from the root words Poly meaning many and Amor meaning Love hence "Many Loves" or Polyamory."

I don't find that practiced in the bible unless it was in pagan circles. Certainly not practiced by David and his family or Solomon and his family.

Polygamy was practiced in the Bible and doesn't seem to be condemned anywhere except for Bishops. However, God did give Adam Eve only. You won't find me signing up for anything else.

I think there is a spiritual hunger for fellowship, openness, oneness, and intimacy that isn't being met through spiritual fellowship... so they end up looking for this intimacy in "all the wrong places".

Some might just have some freaky sexual "kinks" that they can't work out personally and so they experiment with this thinking that it will bring them happiness. I believe the happiness will be short lived. Everyone wants to ultimately be a single somebody's everything. When that instinct rears it's head, jealousy will break forth shattering their "polyamory".

I'm afraid that, love is leaving this earth. When I say that, I realize, that God is love. And God won't leave the earth, because He is everywhere.

But those people, in that article, don't want anything to do with God. And they certainly don't know what love is. (I wonder how many of that group would claim to be Christians?)
What they have is lust and the desire for selfish pleasure, because they are sinners. No use for anyone to preach morals to them. They will sin until God (in His mercy) uses a 2 x 4 to wake them up.

But the sad thing is, that is the way that the world is going. But even sadder, some in Christianity through lack of true teaching, and by listening to the Media, and psychology of this world, are following in their footsteps. It will get worse.

All you have to do is turn on the TV and see all of that displayed right in front of you. Except, many don't even claim a form of godliness, unless it is a Christian channel, and then you also see that "form of godliness".

But most advertise their sins as if they have found the pleasure of all pleasures, therefore they want others to join them. Besides if others join, it soothes their conscience, and shows their supposedly, more wisdom than others.

Brothers and sisters above all else, we must not lose our love for one another. If we don't love one another, we don't love God.
