HELP - We are MOVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am asking you to pray for us.
We had our first service in Lawrenceville, GA on May 1, 2006 and God has blessed us to raise up a great foundation there in just a years time. We are totally maxed out in the 2500 sq ft. rented building we are in. We get up to 95 - 98 and then go back down to 75 - 80 as we have no place for our children's ministry.

We have found another building (for rent) - just one mile from where we are. It is 6000 sq ft. - 60 wide and 100 long. It has 4 restrooms and an office in it. The visibility is incredible as it sits in a very strategic intersection in Lawrenceville - downtown. We will have a 15 x 15 billboard street sign as well as a 50 X 5 foot sign on the top of the building. I am going this week to get an occupancy permit to move in July 1 - as is. It was a Family Dollar store to start with and an Antique shop is closing there now and doing a MOVING Sale as I speak. I am paying $3100 a month where I am and this will be $4100 a month. We want to put the auditorium in the corner and have a 30 x 50 auditorium and the other 30 x 50 as classrooms/office and restrooms. One pastor that looked at it said that I should take one whole side - 30 x 100 and make the sanctuary that way - but it seems like people would be too far away from the pulpit so I think we may want to do it in the corner and have the people closer. Your thoughts please.

We have also found a wonderful new house near the church after looking for a year. On Sundays - it takes me one hour to get to the church. Anytime during the week - it takes me 1.5 - 2 hours to go over. This house is 2 miles from the church and we are very excited about moving.

Here is what I need you to pray about - We have a three story house now - this new one is two stories. We have 13 years of STUFF that we need to sell or do something with. It is almost overwhelming to think that we need to start packing up and moving on June 28. We hardly have time to do anything here now - with driving back and forth to the church.

Also - We have planted and remodeled 4 church plants over the years and have NEVER had to pull a permit. This permit thing is a major thorn for me as I am SO impatient! I want to have our first service in the new building - bare bones - on July 1.
We need an architect to draw the plans for us to put a sanctuary and classrooms and offices in this new building. It will probably take us 6 months to build it out so PLEASE any suggestions will be appreciated!

Thanks for your prayers - to tell you the truth - we are overwhelmed with having to move the church and house at the same time and don't know where to start!
I appreciate all of you - well - most of you anyway! LOL
Thanks for your help and advice.

Also - If any of you are ever in the Atlanta area - call me and let me know. We will have a good meal together and fellowship.
Bless you,
AB

Praying for ya AB.

AB, this is great news!! I am so happy that God is blessing the work in Atlanta. God WILL have a people, won't He!

You asked an opinion on the sanctuary set-up. I think having not seen the building with our own eyes, our words will probably need to be taken with a small grain of salt. However, my own word of advice would be - I much prefer to worship in a place where you don't have to see the pulpit through binoculars. I like to be "under the spout where the glory comes out", and the more people that you can get up close and personal, the more people there will be under that spout.

My prayers are with you as you make this major move. Wish we were all close enough to give you a hand physically. But since we're not, I'll be praying for God to send you laborers with strong backs.

Yes - We will be there!!!!!!!!!! CHURCH ALIVE OF ATLANTA is not far from the Gwinnett Arena where FORWARD '07 is being held. We were there last year and I think we had 19 registered. Stay close by - do not try to stay in ATL - stay in Gwinnett County as the traffic is HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!! If you need anything - let me know. Be sure you guys register ASAP as it was a SELL OUT last year.
