She's busy writing a letter or something about how Reagan wasn't conservative enough. He was a sell out and liar, a sham b/c he governed a liberal state and ran aunion at one time. That means he couldn't possibly have changed. Thus his conservatism wasn't genuine. ONly those she deems conservative enough are REALLY conservative.

Your post is funny but sadly I think this thinking has made a lot of inroads in the Republican party and is going to cost the party I have supported in and believe in a lot of elections.

I firmly believe in Ronald Reagan's philosophy that you support as conservative a candidate as can win a particular election.

If the tea party and ultra right wing Republicans insist on nominating far right candidates in moderate or liberal states we are going to be wandering in the desert for a very long time. Makes no sense at all. What can win in America is a moderate / conservative coalition of voters.

Hey, on a side note - remember when I said I was not putting up a tree? I decided to paint one on canvas to make up for it. I don't think my granddaughter can eat this. I was afraid the canvas wouldn't fit in my vehicle, but I did get it home. Still working on it - blending gel is the bomb!

Have a great holiday season!

Really, Si, Se Puede! How has that been working for ya? When did your last moderate win? :heeheehee You lost this last election not because of the Conservatives, but because you presented us with a subversive progressive Republican. Why don't you try something different for once and stop touting the same tired old rhetoric - Moderates win. LOL!

If the GOP Establishment, including Bill Bolling had not of undermined Cuccinelli, he would have won Virginia. Your part of the Republican party is the problem - Democrat light never wins. Will you ever learn that lesson?

Love ya anyway! :friend :heeheehee

Hey, David. I am fine. I am taking a break as right now I don't want anything negative to deal with on a daily basis.

Yes, I agree with Margie that this is a place to pray with friends, engage, etc., BUT it is actually set up as a place of debate. That means that some of the dialogue is going to be a little heated, a little negative - including politics.

I need to take a break from that for a while as I am petitioning God for some people who are important to me. I am remembering Isaiah 58 on the issue of fasting that says, "in the day of your fast ye find pleasure..." Again, I don't want to be distracted until I have done all I can do. And I don't want to keep doing my own thing as though it is not important.

So, I have an "unspoken request" you can include in your prayers.

Take care and keep up the good reporting and updates on the political issues. Please note that James O'Keefe is uncovering the dishonesty of the Navigators. And that Enroll America is working with Battleground Texas which is prohibited - they are working to turn Texas blue. Don't know if you reported on that or not. :thumbsup

I moved a bookcase to where I usually put my tree so I could make sure my granddaughter didn't tear all the binding off of the books. LOL! Now I don't have room for a tree. Next best thing, a 4 ft painting. That ought to do it. :thumbsup

Have a great holiday season! :friend

It won't be beautiful, just cute. I'm doing a whimsical painting for the kids. My daughter said it looks like, so far, something from the Grinch that Stole Christmas. That was really the effect I was looking for - even though I saw the print and mainly copied it. :heeheehee

Thanks, ILG!!

Yea, my style. I've been working on this village by Martha Stewart for the entertainment center. Finally got the windows cut out without cutting my fingers off with a razor blade. :heeheehee

I cut it out of white board, painted the trees green and will glitter them tomorrow - they turned out really well. I'm going to try and paint the village and then add the glitter snow. I'm still looking at it to see how I will accomplish that. :heeheehee I think I will have to use a dry brush effect to give it a washed look. I didn't care for her cardboard look, but really liked the template. I just realized my church is facing the other way. Oh well, I like that better. lol

well, PO, good to see you today. I'll pray for your request because selfishly, I want you to hurry back. But I understand what you're doing and respect you a great deal for the way you are handling this.

By the way, I saw a really cute "project" you can do with your little grandies today. You paint their little hand with Elmer's Glue and then make their prints on a Christmas ball. Then immediately cover that with glitter.

You could do it on Christmas cards as well. Or maybe on something flat that could hang on the tree. Or on any number of things. Just use your imagination. We're going to do it here with my daycare baby :)

Thank you, Margie! Thanks so much for the prayers.

Now that I'm logged in today - I love that idea! My granddaughter will be here tomorrow. I'll have to try that with her. Wait! She will try to eat the glue off her hand. :heeheehee She is like her daddy was - everything in her mouth - arghhh! LOL!

Hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday season! God bless!

Pressing -On, glad to hear from you and thank you for the PM. I will be praying that you get the answers that you are looking for in your request.

@Sasha: Thank you for the prayers. I posted all about the baby on a thread a few weeks ago.....or maybe I am just thinking I did???? LOL I don't remember to be honest! But she is up to 7 pounds now from 5 and she is so perfect :) She is our little miracle. She is still very tiny for her size and does not look as she is 1 month and a week old. People still ask is she a new baby :) Baby and mum are doing well....thanks be to God and all the prayers from my friends here at AFF.

@HOUSTON~NO I don't want a "treat or something"...:smack:throwrock *SIGH*
