Why people should quit attending Sporting Events!

(Stole this from a friend!)

10 Reasons why people should quit attending Sporting events:

1. The coach never came to visit you.
2. Every time you went, they demanded money.
3. The people sitting in my row didn’t seem very friendly.
4. The seats were too hard.
5. They made decisions I didn’t agree with.
6. Some games went into overtime and I was late getting home.
7. The band played some songs I had never heard before.
8. The games are scheduled on my only day to sleep in and run errands.
9. My parents took me to too many games when I was growing up.
10. It was way too loud...

I was mostly thinking about the "seats too hard," "band played songs I've never heard," "parents too me too many times growing up..." when I replied.

What are your expectations? BTW, I know of some who don't like home visits. Hard to please everyone.

Funny...I wonder how many people will actually get it?

you pay financial counselors and get financial advice
you pay lawyers and get legal advice.
you pay pastors and get spiritual advice.

Lawyers went to school for years and passed the bar exams.
Financial advisors also have some rather difficult tests and quite a bit of school.
Pastors can have no schooling pass no tests an still start a church and if they stay independent they have no oversight which is very unlike lawyers and financial advisors.

Jesus did not go to any rabbinical school, he did not pass any test and he started his church, neither did the Apostles, the only Apostle with schooling was Paul.

Thanks for brining Jesus into this. No one paid Jesus. No one paid the apostles. So by your comparison pastors don't need paid to give spiritual advice. But that goes against your original conclusion that I bolded for you doesn't it lol.

You should think before you respond because what you post now may contradict what you said just a post or two earlier just as it did in this case. ;)

Maybe every adult having IQ of at least 78.

My #11 in list would be,

11. The results of what happens in the "event" are meaningless to my life unless and until I construct an imaginary world to give it meaning.

(Just redeeming my Brownie points since I haven't been to a sporting event since age 11.)

Jesus was supported by a group of women that supported his ministry so he did receive financial support, Judas was the treasurer of the ministry.

some of the early converts sold their houses and brought the money to the feet of the Apostles. So yes the apostles did receive financial support.

No matter how you try and spin it the truth is that Jesus nor the apostles were ever paid for their spiritual advice.
