From what I see, these Apostolic Forums are on their way out. AFF is almost as dead as GNC was before Bro. Rutledge closed it down.

I have been here a few years, yet inactive as to the fact that I forgot my username and password, and had to be reinstated. That's why it appears that i'm kinda new here.

Are there any rumors?

I did hear a rumor that the GNC might start
up again sometime.
Sure was a lot of good stuff there that I would
have saved if we'd only known it was shutting

Bro. Rutledge still has excellent things published on the internet.
I watch some of it about three to four times/week.
Yes, I enjoyed the Good News Forum a lot.
In my opinion it was a lot better than this forum.
it's down fall was bad monitoring by a liberal person.
I suspect Mr. Rutledge had no time to do it himself and decided to pull it.
Can't blame him for doing so because he's a busy man serving the Lord in many ways.

GNC was a lot better than this forum. I met lots of nice friendly people there. It seems to me that if you are not one of the old crowd, you are an outsider, you never fit in. And another thing, More people on GNC were more like minded and these are a lot more liberal.

I never was on GNC but i do enjoy this forum a lot i would even say that it has beneificial to me in that it has caused me to restudy and even study more in depth on some issues so as to better defened certain belifes. I do not agree with some here but i find most to be polite and i attempt to be so in turn.

Ok, i wasn't going to say anything, but this forum blows GNC away, sorry. They were nice people, doing their best to just be so nice all the time, and please gag me with a fork already; it was walking dead two years ago. It was somehow worse than church, to me--if that is even possible--chiefly for the same reason, that being 'dissention iss verboten.' Very nice people, tho, to a man. A perfect reflection of Western Christianity, imo.

And just so you guys know, i quite often agree with an OP, and dissent just to allow the OP to reinforce their point, or implode, and i have to say that i've witnessed very little implosion in the core here.

This is why I started the "Root of all evil" thread. I never start threads here. But, this has been on my mind for a while now and just wanted to throw it out there for discussion. I love bandying about ideas. I apologize if I end up going in 10 different directions at once. I'm sort of a "random thought process" kind of guy. And I like to challenge ideas to make sure they are solid and make sense.

I find that it is good to share your ideas with other people who study also, it helps to either firm up, or throw out your belief. Truth can stand the test of questioning. If it can't, it isn't truth.

Now THAT might be kinda scary!!!!!

The GNC was a great forum when Stan Hallet had it. Afterwards they took to censoring anything the owner did not like. That was his right because he was the owner. No one could learn anything new after that.

I would not want to see this forum close.

This place is no different than church, really. You have the good and bad and they balance out well. The good want to focus on the bad and the bad want to focus on the good focusing too much on the bad. LOL!
