Please pray! 2 year old just got mauled by a Pit Bull
 

This happened about an hour ago.

This little girl is the Half sister to my youngest girl Makanna.

Her name is Seena and she is at the Emergency room now.

She was bit on the cheek and the Father said flesh was hanging off.

Her lips and eyes are OK , just the cheek .

The father just now came by my house to borrow my Marlin 30-30.

He is going to the country to say good by to his pit bull.

Praying...But calm him down... law enforcement may want the Pit Bull..had a similar situation awhile back...

If I would have shot the dog...I might have been arrested.. I had the gun in my hand when they got there.... they took the dog and euthenized it...

it bit our son... it was our neighbors dog..

if its the fathers dog....he can kill it..
if not his dog call the law

It was his dog.....and it's shot. he just called me.

It was a Sunday Afternoon between services and we were taking a nap.. Austin's Ball had gone over the fence into the Dog's yard.. it had never displayed violent behavior before...

Austin climbed up the fence (Wood Fence) and was on his knees on the top rail looking for his ball.. and the Dog jumped and bit his hand pulling him over the fence.. and biting him multiple times...

We heard a pounding on our back door and there was the lady behind us with Austin cradled in her arms covered in Blood but he was just bitten... I told revshoney to rush him to the hospital we still had a baby sleeping.. ... I would take "care" of the Dog.. Our neighbor had called 911 and the police were coming.. I was in the back yard getting ready to shoot a dog and they told me not to do it..

Animal Control came out and they took the dog and killed it..

Austin still has a scar on his hands and back shoulder from the dog biting him.. but thankfully today he does not have a fear of dogs..

Yep, they'll want the dog alive to test for rabies.

In the state of Kansas if you are in danger of bodily harm from a dog, you are within your rights to kill it.

But, I agree it will need to be tested for rabies.

My oldest daughter was attacked by a rot when she was 7 or 8. It was shot, but it had to go to the vet to be tested. It is cheaper if the dog is alive.
The dogs head had to be sent off to be tested.

So sad!!

I'd venture to guess that in TX, where it's legal to shoot a human if he's in the process of stealing your car, the law probly won't do anything to someone shooting a dog that just mauled a young child. I may be wrong, but I don't think so.

They sent her home with mom and dad.

In most states they want check for rabies, by Animal-control

The animal may need to be detained and observed for signs of rabies. They need information about the animal, including vaccination status and the owner's name and address. Notify your local health department, particularly if the animal hasn't been vaccinated.

To test for rabies they need the brain.

I would never have a dog of this nature around small kids!
