I agree. I love to cook and bake, and many times I wonder about changing something. For example... the baking soda to baking powder, and what exactly is the difference? It would be really cool to understand how each element works, and how you could change it up to create new things!

I have my doubts about the lots of grandkids.....I live in the country but I mean the rugged wilderness......like where you can't get hardly anywhere and are forced to live off the land (probably couldn't have hacked it in reality....but would have loved to try)......I don't have plans for much more school. If I did maybe just a class or two, who knows but am not planning on it......I just took some B12 shortly before I read this. I will never be highly energetic. ;).....and I have a butterfly avatar in lieu of the social butterfly.;)

But, hey, in all, I'm pretty content with my life because some of my dreams HAVE come true. ;)

Amen... life is full of dreams, and wishes, some of which we get, and some we can just keep dreaming about, but enjoying the journey is the most important!

I only care about being highly educated. I've never really liked being a mother. Isn't that awful?

I suppose I must join the party with my own thoughts with the "I would have loved to have been a... "

... I would have loved to have been a nurse. That was always my dream as a child, but it wasn't meant to be. Even though there is always the "someday" possibility... the desire I had to be a nurse when I was a child was of the Florence Nightingale brand... but all the stress and paperwork that nurses have to deal with today... well it's not the job that it was 20 years ago, and I'm happy to be where I'm at today.

I would also have loved to have more children. We're banking on grandkids though!

Maybe someday, higher education will be possible, but right now we're busy raising our children, and I take that very seriously. I want to be the best Mom I can to our children, and then later, see what opportunities the Lord may bring. But for now, I am very content to be exactly where I'm at :)

No, it isn't. The reality of motherhood was not as good as the picture of it I had in my mind and I figure that's because I had such low energy. See, I've got to have it all. :)

Funny thing....I never was just dying to be a nurse. LOL! I even told my Mom after I left nursing school "I was never just sitting around saying "I wish I was a nurse!" but at the time, I felt like I really needed to find something where I could make more money than I was and also provide for myself if something happened to my husband and I was looking for a new calling too. Amazingly, I took the leap I felt was right and I have both.....because of the businesses we have built (regardless of leaving school over the flu shot. Pre-nursing classes took a number of years to complete and these other things came to fruition during that time.) I am sincerely happy now at my home based business. THAT has always been my dream. :) On the flip side, I love nutrition and have dreamed of being a nutritionist. I would run my own business at that too. I never knew how regulated the nursing profession was until I got into nursing school. Whew! No way I could wear those shackles. Anyway, I just see myself continuing to build our businesses. I think that would make me very happy indeed. And I just keep reading nutrition and economics books.

I have fulfilled some of my dreams:
I have the home I've always wanted
I have traveled to the places I wanted to see
I've completed my education, and loved going to school

There are a few things I would have changed:
To be better at relationships
To be independently wealthy and not to have to work at a job I don't love (but am thankful for anyway I should add)

Really, I would loved to have been ME. I have enjoyed my life, even with faults, failures and the sadness that life has thrown my way. I married the right woman, my kids love me and my grand kids adore me. Why would I even want to change that? God and life have been good to me.
