An Open Letter to Steve Epley
Steve,
I am concerned that you love your message more than you love God. On multiple occasions over the years you have started the "All Trinitarians are Lost" thread. Each time you address the issue you restate the title along with little smileys. What is that about? I completely disagree with your belief that all trinitarians are lost but if I did agree I wouldn't smile, laugh or rejoice at the thought of someone being lost. You have repeatedly stated that you would not allow someone with a beard in your church. That they may go to Heaven, but they will have to do so from somewhere other than the church you lead. Where do you get the authority to make such a ridiculous statement? You seem to hold this position as a badge of honor. As if the fact that the men of your church are femininely smooth-faced is a source of pride. I worry that you love your standard more than souls, and truth. Your comments in the thread about Steve Pixler affirm my belief that you have no love in your heart for others. Steve, you have been given free rein on this forum for as long as it has existed. You are apt to rebuke others, label them in the most hateful way imaginable, and then retreat when you are not treated with respect. You are held to a different standard than others. None of that exempts you from truth. Steve, you need to repent. You need to call Pixler and ask for forgiveness. You need to make a public apology for all of the hurts you've heaped on those with whom you disagree. You are not doing the work of God. You and your online cohorts have done more to damage conservative Pentecostalism than Pixler and other "compromisers" could ever dream. Respectfully, Ed |

Could you not have pm'd him this? And let just him 'open the letter'.

I am so thankful for the online demeanor of men like you and Steve Epley. With every caustic post you prove the content of your heart and fruit of your message. You win more to freedom than legalism, to my belief system instead of yours. Again, thank you. |

By all means Ed, spoon feed, show me how your behavior is a step up? You were angry on the other forum, and you are clicking it up a notch here. |

Let it go. I did years ago. |

Ed you are the one in axe swinging mode here. The other forum is where your flower started to bloom, hence I bring it up. |

Not going to dignify your post with a reply. Have a nice eternity.

I absolutely will have a nice life and eternity. By the way, you did dignify my post with a reply. |

There is nothing more caustic than that. God may not be willing that any should perish, but Steve is. And he's not just willing, he's elated. |
Re: An Open Letter to Steve Epley
Does anyone deny that the opening post accurately portrays Steve's record?

How many posters pretend to know someone's eternal destiny? How many would make this sort of sarcastic and mean-spirited statement about someone's soul? How many would be so flippant about Heaven and Hell? |
Amen to the OP. Though, it should have been dealt with privately first...

I reject your statement. It's not true. |

Sometimes you have to take the higher road.

Re: An Open Letter to Steve Epley
sorry....you feel that way...his statement was very strong and very hard...however many of the statements of our Lord were hard....I do not think he has an attitude. He may come across rough and whatever but if my word means anything he is a kind gentle soul...and I do not agree with him on several things but he is NOT UNKIND. I know him personally and have known him and his wife's family for many many years.

Re: An Open Letter to Steve Epley
By nature I am a tender person so if someone said something that strong to me I might cry...lol...however we are all different. We must strive to understand one another.

Re: An Open Letter to Steve Epley
A place where genuine men of God are disrespected over and over is not a place (in my opinion) for ANY true Christian but most certainly not a place for me. There may be a few posters here that I highly esteem and a few others that I have acquired a certain level of respect for over time but digging through the filth and contempt is not worth it. Unfortunately it has taken too long for my hard head to let this sink in.

Bye dude.

I notice there are six guests watching this thread. That always intimidates me. If by any chance someone may know me let it be known that I repent of the day that I joined this forum.

I dare say that there is probably not many here worth to polish bro. Epley's shoe. There is not a finer Christian gentleman any where. He speaks the truth and for some they cannot take the truth

Steve Epley is given far more grace than he ever gives anyone else. Despite my comments, Charnock's and others I don't recall anyone ever once saying he was going to hell. Nevertheless Steve Epley is QUICK to send people to hell, even guys like myself (I have a oneness theology and baptize in JN), Charnock, and apparently Steve Pixler. To say nothing of people who actually are trinitarians, with smilies, exclamation marks, and a callousness rarely seen outside of radical Islam. And you say many here are not worthy to polish his shoe?! Please. He's a man. A brother. I wish no ill will upon him, but I do hope God opens his eyes to his spiritual pride. But you guys who prop him up as a hero are just enabling his hate of other Christians. |

All taken out of context. Then fail to answer a simple question about what sin SP is guilty of? So apparently you lament Steve Epleys treatment but seem to have no qualms treating SP as a heathen. |
