funny, but i'm sure many of us have had the talk or had to give the talk about altar workers grooming habits and bad breath.

"wear some deodorant, get your suit dry cleaned every now and then, pop a mint before you pray with someone."

I sweat alot and I work two and three days at a time.Body odor is a huge pet peeve of mine and sometimes Im tortured because Ill be hot and sweaty but Ill be in line for the next call...I may not run a call again the entire shift but because I have to be ready at a moments notice I can't risk taking a shower.I end up reapplying deodorant. ....changing clothes and cropdusting myself with body spray and always chewing gum.I am worse about gum than some people are with cigarettes lol.

Well guys, if they would turn the music way down at the altar call, we wouldnt have to speak so close to these folks. We have to yell in their ears at many churches.

I've always wondered, what did people use years ago before deodorant was invented? Can you imagine how stinky things must have been before deodorant?

actually research shows that in some people deodorant causes the body to produce even more bacteria that causes body odor...so maybe it wasn't as bad as you'd think...then again....maybe it was...

I know that the chemicals in deodorant are not good for the body, and some studies think that deodorant and breast cancer are related. I know some natural remedies for body odor include using arrowroot powder (or baby powder) and coconut oil.

they sell natural deodorants that work alright. I believe it's aluminum that's in deodorant that turns shirts yellow and may be linked to breast cancer.

I believe in the victorian period, wealthy people carried fancy metal containers around that had perfumes/oils in them. That was to mask the B.O. produced by wearing those heavy elaborate outfits.

I had assumed this thread was about the release of natural gaseous stink in public gatherings.
