Sis, I was just providing you with the information, for you to make that call. I have no idea if the man has truly repented, and changed his ways or not. Maybe you are closer to the situation than me. If he has done so, praise God for it, by all means. :)

I don't know the man, but I did recognize him from other posts on this forum. I truly hope he has repented, and has made things right with the Lord. I have no way of knowing that.

From what is understood of the situation, the man repeatedly was a thief while he was a HG filled believer. I can have more compassion on someone who has been a rank outright sinner, who comes to know the Lord, and turns from his ways. BUT, when one has been a pastor, and has committed the same sin time and again... it will take some time for him to build his reputation and honor back. It is doable, if he has really repented, and changed his ways. Time will be a judge of that.

Perhaps you have more insight into the situation than I do and know this, and if so, I will praise the Lord for that with you.

"Keeping a man down" Good grief! The bad news on this guy is not gossip. It is published information on the internet. I mean arrest records, etc, etc. He is a con artist through and through. A CONVICTED con artist.

So if you want to give anything he says or does credence that is entirely up to you. Just don't be surprised it if affects other peoples estimation of your common sense and gullability.

Also don't expect folks not to warn people that don't know about him what he is. Agaiin not gossip but proved in the court system what he is.

I truly hope the man has repented and changed. I did watch a video of a message he preached this year, and he was talking about his time in the desert, and he certainly sounded sincere enough, although I didn't care so much for the heavy preacher voice presentation.

But from what I could also find, it seems he is associated with William Branham and the Message people somehow, maybe a family member? Apparently he has also written a book, under the name of John Shane Vaughn about tongues.

Anyway, he has a nice voice, and can certainly play and sing. I would listen to his music and enjoy it if it is your style, kind of like listening and enjoying Jimmy Swaggert's music. I would just not financially support or follow his ministry personally, but again, that is a personal prerogative.

You can enjoy his music, if it is your style. I don't know the background of every single person's music that I listen to... but when I know someone has a criminal background, especially while they were professing to be a Christian, it does make one a little more wary of them. I certainly believe in repentance and forgiveness, and do hope that is the case with him.

This person in question does not have merely 1 issue but a recurring one. I, for one, would be glad to find out he has genuinely repented.

I, for one, would thing that he needs to come clean though and admit it publicly.

Nobody gloried in his down fall. We don't know if he has risen up and repented.

He has a history and this person here was just offering a warning. We are told in the bible are we not to mark them and be cautious?

The thing about con artists is that you never will know if they have truly repented and changed. It is in their nature to con. The only way to know if he had truly changed will be for him to establish a track record over time of having a reputation unblemished by doing wrong.

The scary thing is that there are gullible people out there who will follow a person like this simply on them stating they have changed.

I have also heard from people who know his parents that they are wonderful people. I am glad you posted this thread without knowing this man's history and track record.

I posted what I did because you appeared to be posting a thread promoting this con artist and i was not going to allow newer members who do not know who he is to spend time on his music or ministry without knowing who he is.

For the record FACTS are not GOSSIP. If you do a google search of this man under the various names he has gone by you can find his arrest record, newspaper articles about the charges and convictions, etc. At least they were online a few years ago when he got busted.
