I prefer this forum over The old Good News Café. Now when Stan Hallet had it I was able to present new things without being banned. When the ownership changed every now and then I would get warned I was pushing it to far. It turned into a stereotype Apostolic Pentecostal bless me club.

You are absolutely right, Stan Hallet would allow discussion of topics from different points of view.

He knew what he believe but gave others the courtesy of writing what they believed even if he disagreed with their beliefs.

He never censured anyone, unless they start acting like jerks.

after he left GNC censuring begun and the forum went downhill, people left and eventually GNC was dead.

Agreed. I actually made 2 friends on that Forum that I got to meet in person and am still friends with.

Stan Hallet was posting on Dave Hustons Forum a while back. He's still around.

That's the reasoning y'all use for every scripture quoted on here, if it doesn't agree with your Liberal point of view. And no, I do not pay for this forum, and no I wouldn't pay to keep this thing going. And as you can see, I rarely come here, because I just get too frustrated. So that's all I've got to say, and I am gone....

It's not about a liberal or conservative point of view. It is what it is. It's the scripture in context...not just one verse taken out of a group of verses.

Please read it again.

Ephesians 5:1-3, 5-6
It's speaking of people who are idolators, who are whoremongers, unclean, sinful -- those people who use vain words to try and deceive people.

Do you really believe that describes most of the participants on AFF? Whoremongers? Idolators? Unclean?

You are right, this is more geared toward those Apostolics who are strongly rooted in the faith, not easily moved by every wind of doctrine.

Strong Apostolics who know well their bible and are not easily confused by teachers of false doctrines.

And I've never said anyone should leave, I just said the name of the forum has deceived many. I feel as if there are posters from all persuasions and all walks of life members here on AFF.
