Dr. Myles Munroe and Others Dead in Plane Crash

Quote:

The ministry of a prominent evangelist from the Bahamas will continue despite the death of founder Myles Munroe in a small airplane crash on Sunday, his close advisers said.

Munroe — a well-known pastor, motivational speaker and evangelist — was one of nine aboard the Lear 36 Executive Jet when it went down as it attempted to land in Freeport Sunday evening, officials said. All those aboard were killed.
Quote:

Munroe's wife, Ruth was also on the plane, Christie said. The names of other passengers have not yet been confirmed, but the government said they included another minister, Richard Pinder, and a child.

I know a well known UPC evangelist that teaches an 8 week course on how to obey your pastor. He laces his messages with this rhetoric of "kingdom principles" with tithing.

At the end(8th) week, he says that those that dont teach tithing are going "straight to hell"

I did not realize that pastors were KINGS, presiding over God's kingdom, under the "Emperor" Jesus....LOL

Every believer is a king and priest. Not only pastors.

Yes. As Proverbs says there is a time and a season for things.

My dad was led by Munroe for a while, and I accompanied him to a seminar a couple of years ago. I ended up reading a Kingdom book or two, and was impressed with his grasp and interpretation of Scripture. First time I heard "Kingdom" sermons in a non-JW setting.

We preach kingdom a lot as well in our church. many people see the aspect of the Word, and it's not a physical kingdom, btw. :)
