Jeb Bush 2016

Well look here. Megyn Kelly is doing a nice little "presidential" looking sit down with Jeb Bush. Love that American flag in the background. Looks soooo presidential.

How interesting that she didn't do this type of interview with ANY of the other Republican candidates. Because no one else really matters, right Megyn?

My mother told me she heard that Jeb was going to be the one. I guess she may be right.

So, in essence, it appears, once again, before the primaries get started, Fox News is telling us who we will be focusing on as our nominee in 2016 - just like they did Mitt Romney. I guess Rubio will be the VP pick.

I'm not surprised that FoxNews is rolling out the red carpet for Bush III. I am a little surprised that Megyn Kelly is helping with it though. Of course, I haven't watched much of her show, other than viewing a few clips on FB or RCP.

I have a coffee cup on my desk. Trying not to throw it against the mirrors on the opposite wall after viewing the clip. Eight nice mirrors crashing down. :heeheehee

If Jeb is the candidate then welcome the first woman (I use the term loosely) American president.
I'm praying for Ted Cruz instead. He would make mincemeat out of Shillary in a debate....hence why it will take prayer and a miracle to have such a candidate.
She recently said religious people who are against abortion should re-think their religion. I'm not sure they get anymore vile then that person.

Jeb is trying to help Hillary get elected. Oh if he happens to accidentally get elected, he won't refuse to serve. But he is not expecting to.

His sole purpose as a GOP establishment plant is to keep a strict constructionist from getting elected.

Being the GOP didn't do much to fight against Obamacare or anything else (mainly fighting against Ted Cruz), I think they want the Left to move us further in that direction. The Democrats would willingly take the blame.

I agree. The democrats would rot on the vine if not for the GOP establishment.

Megyn Kelly on TheFive yesterday - couldn't stop praising Jeb with hearts in her eyes. She said, in essence, he is the ONLY candidate who is HONEST and has not flip-flopped on any issue.

The fix is in with Fox News going by how all on The Five responded.

She was hammered on Twitter and on her Facebook page last night. lol

Today, I don't see anything on her Facebook page regarding her interview last night with Jeb Bush. Perhaps they took it down to clean up the comments or maybe there was so much negativity, she took the post down. From viewing the comments last night, it was about 95% against Bush. Same on Twitter.

I'm happy there was push back against Bush. Still cannot believe Kelly is supporting Bush. Isn't she against Common Core and illegal govt spying? I hope her viewers turn her off because of this. The only way to get the attention of talking heads is by them losing viewers.

She said that she had studied Common Core prior to the interview and it isn't what people are saying it is. So, she agrees with Jeb Bush on Common Core now. She received lots of backlash on that.

And let me quote what Jeb Bush said about illegal immigration:
Quote:

MEGYN KELLY: You told our own Shannon Bream not long ago that [illegal immigration] is not a felony, it’s an act of love. But lots of crimes are committed out of love. That’s my question to you. It doesn’t stop their prosecution. So what is it about illegal immigration?

JEB BUSH: I think illegal immigration ought to be punished by coming out from the shadows, earning legal status over an extended period of time where you pay a fine, where you work, where you don’t receive government assistance, where you learn English, where you don’t — where you’re deported if you commit a crime as is the law.
It's illegal and what about speaking to that, Jeb? What about Americans?

Ay Carumba as Ricky Ricardo would say. :heeheehee

Oh, another thing - Michael Steele is going to work on a PAC for Jeb Bush. He is like Joe Scarborough, pretending to be a Republican. Well, they are Progressive Republicans. LOL!

The group that Steele will be working with - "The group shares the same name as Bush’s Right to Rise PAC and Super PAC but is different in that it could accept unlimited donations and not reveal those sources of money."

Oh, okay, so Jeb Bush is NOT flip-flopping on the question Megyn posed to him last night regarding whether or not he would have invaded Iraq.

He didn't hear the question properly even though it was in plain English. LOL! No flip-flopping over the backlash, just that he "misheard".

What kind of answer is this to Common Core?

Megyn: “They say it makes no sense, it forces teaching to the test. They say kids are in tears over it. Are they wrong?"

Jeb: “Common Core means a lot of different things to different people. So they could be right based on what’s in front of them. I respect people having a view, but the simple fact is that we need higher standards.”

Quote:

As parents by the thousands are opting their children out of the Common Core-aligned tests throughout the country, and many states are besieged by massive technological glitches that are preventing the tests from being administered at all, pro-Common Core headliners like Jeb Bush, Mike Huckabee, and Gov. Terry Branstad (R-IA) have joined together as a group called “Unicorns Are Not Real.”

Funded by PAC Alliance for Better Classrooms, the group purports to ridicule opponents of the unproven Common Core standards with the theme that “most of the things you’ve heard about Common Core” are not real, either.

In the interview that aired Monday, Kelly asked Bush if, “knowing what we know now, would you have authorized the invasion?”

“I would,” Bush responded. “And so would have Hillary Clinton, just to remind everyone. And so would almost everybody that was confronted with the intelligence they got.”
That doesn't sound like the answer of a person who "misheard" a question. That's a very well stated answer. As wrong as it is, it's still a very well crafted answer. He didn't "mishear" the question, he just wasn't prepared for the backlash it would cause.

Jeb is radical is his view. He claims that the Federal Government is NOT involved in Common Core. Ted Cruz rebutted the claim by Jeb saying, "This is how it works. The Obama administration has used race to the top money, federal money to force states to adopt Common Core standards."

Anyone that has an understanding of Common Core and wants to be honest about it knows this. Obviously, Jeb doesn't want to be honest about it. And Megyn Kelly, who claims to do ALL of her research, tried to side with Jeb Bush on what he claimed were the facts.

Which brings me to this article, which is a good read. He goes into why Jeb will need the middle class vote, but won't get it, just like Mitt Romney didn't get it.

Why Jeb Bush Will Never Be President

And it doesn’t even matter how unlikeable Hillary Clinton is or how little the public trusts her." - See more at: https://www.conservativereview.com/c....PRshht7g.dpuf

Something Jeb Bush has said in the past, which I totally agree with:

“All the freedoms that the Founders gave us rest on the assumption that we could govern ourselves. But if we can’t, then the demands on government just overwhelm everything—as government assumes the responsibilities once reserved for private life.

You can argue for limited government all you want, but if the demands on government get higher and higher because people aren’t as self-governing as we once were, then the dike breaks. You can be for limited government and watch the dike break. But the dike is still breaking.”

Is Jeb Bush 'unelectable' because he gave Hillary Clinton an award?

Jeb Bush once handed Hillary Rodham Clinton an award for “public service.”

“It’s bad enough that Hillary Clinton will likely use footage from this event against any Republican nominee, but if Jeb Bush is her opponent she will make him look ridiculous,” Mr. Bozell said in a statement.

Jeb Bush was director of philanthropy that gave tens of millions to Planned Parenthood

Until the eve of his presidential campaign, Jeb Bush was director of a philanthropy that gave tens of millions of dollars to Planned Parenthood and financed its advocacy of "unrestricted access to abortion" around the world. The charity also approved money to global abortion providers while he sat on its board.

In 2010, Jeb was named one of the founding directors of the Bloomberg Family Foundation, established as a tax-exempt foundation to advance the vision of former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. He resigned from the board at the end of 2014 to prepare his presidential campaign.

Exactly. He has made some statements that sound out of the ordinary, insider, confident, and so I am paying attention to Him. He could be done, but I will believe that after his resignation speech. That could, hopefully, happen after NH primary.

All guns are pointed at Ted Cruz. This morning's pile on was Rand Paul and Carly Fiorina. Bitter losers.

What I am saying is that I am paying attention to see if I can detect any upward movement from him, regardless of what the polls are saying. I don't trust Fox News who went to town getting Romney nominated, and they certainly like to push whoever the Establishment candidate is. Brit Hume, Krauthammer, Greta and Megyn Kelly don't like Ted Cruz, as he goes against their cozy Establishment Kumbaya party.

I don't know what it is about him. Partly his seeking advice on how to win without the conservative wing, not backing down on his immigration stance, Common Core, etc. He is typical Establishment.

The thing about him is that he doesn't try to hide where he stands, doesn't lie about it.

So, if you want two "consistent" candidates in the race - Jeb and Ted are those two choices. Ted consistently conservative and Jeb consistently progressive.
