Had a dream...

Large UPCI church hosting meetings with neighboring large Baptist church pastored by a prominent woman (???)...

Both churches famous, both pastors famous. Large churches, everybody dressed to kill like a Clinton fundraiser, you could smell the money.

Dinner served at a meeting where the two pastors and close staff were on hand. Building inside looked like the old Life Tabernacle place on Broadway in Houston (Kilgore's old place). Maroon carpet, kind of dark and subdued, lots of reddish lighting, mahogany and cherry wood paneling. Bldg obviously old but still in use.

Had a feeling this was out west, CA maybe?

Anyway, just putting it down "for the record". Might have just been the El Charrito dinner I ate... ugh last time I do that, probably.

Either that a prominent west coast church is entertaining Jezebel... or the salsa had too much sodium benzoate in it...

Honestly, don't know. Hillary keeps coming to mind for some reason...??? I have no clue. I didn't get any warm fuzzies from any of the participants, though.

Large West Coast Baptist Church?

Southern Baptist don't go for women preachers, and they don't go for us.

Re: Had a dream...

I don't know any prominent UPC churches, I'm out of that loop. It's just the impression I had.

Probably the El Charrito.

I'm about to make some gulasz with a whole bottle of Worcestershire sauce, penne pasta, and shredded cheese on top baked in the oven.

Hillary is going to be president?

Pentecost is going to become Baptist and effeminate?

Isaiah 3:12

As for my people, children are their oppressors, and WOMEN RULE OVER THEM. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.

America is DOOMED!!!!!

Have you ever had Hot Links from Vidor Texas? Also found in Beaumont.

Matter a fact, I found them in El Campo.

Anyway, Hot Links smoked in a smoker, good eating.

Texas BBQ can't compare with Georgia, Alabama, North/South Carolina, and especially the best Florida BBQ, but Hot Links, and smoked Boudin is the best on the planet. I can't wait for that heavenly BBQ, because those Red Heifers look mighty tasty, with a huge slather of BBQ sauce!!!!

I may be wrong but I don't think thee are any prominent (large) liberal UPC churhes in California. As best I can recall they are all pretty conservative UPC and I can't imagine any conservative UPC church doing that so I am concluding it was the salsa. Time will tell though!

I have never had BBQ outside of Texas that tastes as good as Texas bbq . (Is that a tautology?)

I'll be praying for you, tho!

The impression I got was the UPC church was a moderate to conservative church. The Baptist church wasn't uberliberal either.

The sense I had was this: Two historically opposed movements were coming together via these two representative churches. The purpose wasn't clear, but it was like a "first step to cooperative efforts" kind of thing. There was a surface feeling of "we are uniting to spread the gospel and show everyone we have love one for another" but the undercurrent had more to do with money or something.

Probably the salsa.

Even if a "UPC" church did this, I can't see the organization as a whole accepting it; either the HQ leadership or the individual churches.

What? My dear brother that can't be, Texas BBQ tastes like its been mummified before they cook it. Now South Eastern BBQ, from Louisiana to North Carolina, is juicy, smoky, and oh so good. But I appreciate the prayers. :)

You never know, I never thought they would vote in television.

Sooner or later everyone will be in a house church, because the mainstream churches will be so blended into one another.

If money is involved, I would be more concerned about the error and doctrine of Balaam than the "spirit" of Jezebel. Balaam, not Jezebel, loved the wages of unrighteousness, i.e. the fee for divination. He got paid to bless, curse, and/or prophesy.

Probably the salsa.

Its changing out here!
But to join another church for money- that might be a stretch to believe.
If so, It would be hard to believe that any body half conservative and holiness would even dare stick around.
But just like sin does, after awhile confusion could set in and subtly and slowly deceive and some folk might believe the lie as well.
Although I don't disclaim dreams- I'm not necessary endorsing them altogether either.
That said: I know of others who had the same type of dreams about a UPCI mega church in Calif.
Lets hope its just some strong salsa.
But my senses are similar about money matters.
I could see something like this could possibly happen if "things" do not change.
Which could be a very Sadd-u-cee situation.

Re: Had a dream...

Dreams from God are (usually) never really what they seem. Joseph's and Pharaoh's dreams were highly symbolic. So were Nebuchadnezzar's.

If your dream is from the Lord, I wouldn't go looking for a literal interpretation. Look for the symbols.

A case in point. From the first weeks of my conversion until just last week, I have had, off and on, dreams about missiles flying through the air of the United States, taking everyone by surprise, causing terror and panic. For the longest time, I used to wonder about someone attacking the US or some other "endtime" thing coming to pass.

But after this last dream, I feel like the Lord has, after all these years, given me wisdom to understand. I was meditating on the dream, and the phrase "war in the sky" came to mind, and with it, the key to understanding. These dreams aren't about literal attacks coming from some wherever-ville. They are indicators of the spiritual warfare in "high places" that is taking place over the United States on a regular basis.

God has been given me visions upon my bed about a spiritual reality, in a way that I could (finally!) comprehend.

So, what about your dream? What symbols in it can you comprehend, to showcase what the dream is really about? Mega-churches teaming up, female pastors/preachers, money, and etc.?

What kind of things could these things stand in for, in a spiritual sense? If you don't take the dream literally, what would it mean?

That's the course of action I would take in order to try and interpret/make sense of the dream.

I've been gnawing at it off and on for awhile. I am certain there is a symbolic meaning to it if there is any meaning to it at all.

In regards to your recurring dream, I'd say you need a basement, lots of food storage, guns and ammo, duck tape and plastic.
