My wife's best friend from ABI, who now lives in IA, was refused health care a few months ago for her baby because he wasn't vaccinated.

She had fed her son some Beech Nut brand food, and the next day there was blood in his stool. Came to find out that Beech Nut had just ordered a recall on the very item because glass had gotten into the ingredients.

And the hospital refused them because they didn't vaccinate their children.

They chose a vaccine over a possible life and death situation. I guess the Hippocratic Oath means nothing to some of the ones who take it.

About thirty years ago, they would not allow children in school w/o vaccinations.

So they are starting to play a little hardball. The next step would be denying children nutrition!

I knew this was coming about 10 years ago. Call me a prophet. I talked about this very thing with someone about 10 years ago. It was be nationwide within a couple of years.

Now all these churches who don't believe in vaccinating their children, what do you do now? Obey the law of the land? Or never take your child to a hospital again?

Soon you won't be able to get in school without being vaccinated. A religious exemption will not work anymore. The medical field is not playing anymore.

I just want to add. If you feel like you should have the right to be exempted because of your religious beliefs then think about it. People that believe in gay marriage and abortion can make that same argument.

If the religious right fights this in court, they will be opening the door for legal arguments for abortion and gay marriage.

This particular issue (vaccinating children) is a security issue. A child from another country can come here with smallpox and affect other children in school and cause an epidemic. That is just one example.

In the 1950s we were ALL vaccinated. Most often done by school nurse in the school. There were Christian Science students, and they were exempt.:bigbaby

It would appear to be more socialist medicine and socialist style legislation.

Not that I am against some guidelines. Many of the illegals are bringing us TB and smallpox.


Just a side note for those for or against vaccines______the vaccines of 2015 are totally different chemical cocktail then that from the 50s.
I do think it requires personal research. Not a religious matter but a medical decision.

Religious objections aren't the main reason for people not vaccinating their children anymore. Parents are questioning the side effects of more and more vaccines as autism rates and auto-immune diseases greatly increase. The mandatory vaccine laws are being pushed by the pharmaceutical companies who profit from vaccines and are exempt from liability.

As for those who think this is a security issue, that's funny right there. If an unvaccinated child comes in contact with vaccinated children, how is the unvaccinated child a security threat to the others? Answer: they aren't.

Soon, it will just be flat out illegal to be anything but a drone in the hive.

To refuse means either:

1.) The child must be homeschooled
2.) A part of an independent learning environment
3.) Have a special dispensation from a doctor alleviating the child from the need to be vaccinated (e.g. the child needs to have an immunity disorder).

Everyone is not vaccinated. That is the goal of the law. I think its like 30% of children are not vaccinated. (huge number)

The SAME people claiming you have no right over your own body (to refuse vaccines) are the same ones claiming women have every right over their body (to kill unborn children) or that "gay" men have every right over their own body (to abuse themselves with others in a life style known to spread disease and death)...

Is there any vaccine for Ebola? How about a vaccine for nuclear fallout? Soon enough it's not going to matter if a child is vaccinated or not.

Is there a vaccine for famine? And how many people have died over the years from diseases (like the black plague) that have no vaccines?

I do not believe anyone has the right to force their religious beliefs on anyone else.

Gay Rights to Christians is a religious issue.
The right to choose to Christians is a religious issue.

Therefore I believe you can't let a non-believer get an abortion because you believe it is wrong.

I'm not blocking the entrance to any abortion clinics.

The same thing with gay rights. As long whatever is done is in the privacy of your home and/or it doesn't infringe upon me, we're good. I will pray that the gay people overcome and move on.
