Cecil the lion, planned parenthood.

So sad that people can grieve over a lion being shot, they harass a man's office, threaten his life, say he needs to hang. ...

And support PP.

Wow!

n david 07-29-2015 11:41 PM

Jimmy Kimmel cried about it on his TV show. Seriously... Cried about a dumb lion.

I don't see the need to kill a lion for kicks, but killing babies is a whole other level of depravity.

I don't either, although it was very popular in a bygone era.

As I told one preacher friend of mine who posted something similar on FB. I can be angry about both and I am.

Luring that Lion out of the sanctuary to kill him was awful. He was not a "dumb lion". He was a magificient creature. I believe in hunting for food but this was just for sport and illegal.

Re: Cecil the lion, planned parenthood.

I have not hunted before, but hunting for sport is not a sin. The sin was in the manner in which they chose to do it.

Abortion is a sin no matter what reason or manner you choose to do it.

Both of these things are sin but for very different reasons.

If the man had killed said lion in an unprotected area and without luring him I'm pretty sure it would not have been a sin.

I don't think anybody was saying hunting is a sin. It was the manner in which it was done and that the animal killed was protected.

I am too soft hearted to be a hunter as long as there are Kroger's, Publix, and Walmarts! LOL. However if things fell apart and I needed to in order to survive I would have no problem doing it.

I made sure that family members that were hunters took my boys hunting when they were young so they would be familiar with it and not have a problem with it when they were older in case they needed those skills.

Sorry, compared to aborted babies, the lion is just a dumb animal.

I believe the Dentist's claims that he thought it was a legal hunt. He paid for the license and, from what I've read, was not involved in luring the lion nor did he know the guides were taking it from a sanctuary.

Dangle $50,000 in front of a couple of poor African guides and they will come up with a lion for you from somewhere. Anywhere.

Part of the $55,000 he paid was for government permits. People are ignoring Zimbabwe's role in allowing the killing of big game for sport.

Palmer, the Dentist, hired a local hunter who secured a deal with a landowner whose property is next to the sanctuary. He also stated he had a license for his client (Palmer) to shoot a lion with a bow and arrow on this property.

Re: Cecil the lion, planned parenthood.

Read a story about some dude killing lion with his bare hands recently, I think he had a bunch of locals mad at him also.

I think his name was Samson or some name like that.

Did you read where some African official, when questioned about it replied ... "what lion?"

They had no problems in that country.

50 k feeds a lot of Africans.

Abortion is murder.

however killing animals for sport is sickening. I have killed chickens, pigs, fish and even a big fat cow; but it was because I was going to eat them. I even have killed snails and worms that get into my vegetable garden.

I have weapons and I would use them to defend my family, and I would not hesitate to pull the trigger to save my family.

however to just kill an animal for fun, I find it quite sickening.
killing for sport is not only wrong, but also evil.

Where is your biblical evidence to support your claim?

Notice I am not saying I disagree with you necessarily.

Re: Cecil the lion, planned parenthood.

I woudn't mind a big ol' elk head on my wall, or even a Zimbabwein lion skin. Bear skins would look neat, ...

Just bought some mink stole's at a second hand store to resale, nice furs, I am sure that they died a natural death.

My daughter picked up a silver fox hat from Russia recently, $5.00, worth about $200.00. Didn't even give it a second thought, bought in a second.

Most of those lions, by that age, are already starting to get eaten up inside with worms.

The Africans were happy that for once they were killing the lions instead of the lions killing them!

LOL

Little tongue in cheek, about the dying naturally. People seem to forget that the chicken, the beef, the minks, the fox, all had to die for us to partake of them somehow.

Dead is dead.

Did you read where Cecil's brother was just killed?

I wonder what will happen now?

His Momma, it's on the birth certificate.

He came out and she said .."Oh, you look like a cecil!"

Or something like that....

In cat language....

On the game preserve....

Then they chipped him and put the mark of the beast on him, for tracking.

Maybe that is why God allowed him to be shot... cause he had the mark of the beast!!!

:highfive

How is a tracking chip the mark of the beast? I understand this chip was in a beast, but how are computer chips the mark of the beast?

You're confused Monterrey...it's the Mark OF the Beast, which is evil, not the Mark ON the Beast.

here is the story of an apostolic lion

“There came a great and terrible lion out of the valley and when I finished praying, the beast had cast himself at my feet. I was filled with the Spirit and looked upon him, and said to him: "Lion, what do you want?" But he said: "I wish to be baptized." I glorified God, who had given speech to the beast and salvation to his servants. Now there was a great river in that place; I went down into it and he followed me, I stood in the bank and cried out and when I had prayed thus, I took the lion by his mane and in the name of Jesus Christ immersed him.” :D
