Nayc 2015

Starts this week. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear there is any type of live streaming for this conference.

Me, too.

Saturday the media drop card goes on sale for $20 for all the videos. That's really cheap for a conference.

Re: Nayc 2015

The photos I've seen look like they have a packed house. We have 20 or so from our church who made the trip. I believe there's around 20,000 young people attending.

Re: Nayc 2015

The arena seats 18,203 but because all of those seats sold out in about a day they have a large overflow crowd of several thousand seated in a adjoining venue. They are live streaming to that overflow audience.

n david 08-05-2015 07:54 PM

I'm really surprised this is an NBA arena. The pics make it look pretty small. My bro is there and the pics he's sent me look like it's completely packed out.

I've heard they are trying to get out of the 2017 arena contract because it's the same approx seating capacity. They're wanting to get a larger venue.

It would be really disappointing to go all the way there and have to sit in a different building, watching it on a screen.

Yup. Could do that at home. However it was no surprise for those folks. They knew the situation before they bought those tickets and went.

However they can still fellowship before and after the services (fellowship is code for check out member so the opposite sex you are interested in and hopefully getting to know them better).:happydance:icecream:highfive

I hope they knew they would be in a different building watching a video screen before they bought the ticket and paid the money to go!

This would have been worth watching a video screen, when I was younger. :LOL

My nephew is there and he said it was being streamed on something called Periscope on twitter? Seems like they'd have used something easier. Not familiar at all with that.

Re: Nayc 2015

Not sure the exact final count, but it is much higher than 20,000. There are around 23,000 in the main arena and 5,000+ in the overflow arena. This info is coming from a good source.ha. I believe this conference has moved from being just another 'conference' to being a 'movement'. The young people of today are who will revolutionize this world before the coming of the Lord! Unprecedented revival is at hand.

Periscope is an app for phones that does live streaming from a cell phone. I have been watching a couple of feeds on from the service and it looks packed and then some!

We actually started streaming our services using this a few months ago. Pretty nifty (and free.)

it occured to me the other day though, "when they see the abomination of desolation standing in the Holy Place", the technology is now there for the whole world to see it via stuff like this...

I just get discouraged when watching, as while they are definitely having church, it looks like an audition for glee. oh this generation....

They are having a singing competition, is that what you're posting about?

The main venue seats just under 20,000 in concert seating mode which is what it is in for NYYC. There is NOT around 23,000 in the main arena. There my be around 25,000 there in total but if so then 5,000 are in overflow.

My Jewish friends would have some questions for me if I wore a prayer shawl at church.

Your Mexican friends would also make inquiries if they saw you wearing a Mexican blanket. Like the ones Brothers Gleason and Stonking were handing out :nod

Re: Nayc 2015

A portion of a message preached during the evening service at NAYC:

"When you have a sense that you want your Pastor's hand on your head. When you have a sense that you want to be something for God, but you cannot do it independently from the spiritual authority that God has placed in your life, then you have got something very special in your life."

"There is only one direction that anointing flows, and that is down. You will never get an anointing in your life all by yourself. It's impossible to get an anointing. If you have one tonight it is a result, a composite pouring of every pastor, every prayer warrior, every evangelist, every prophet, every teacher that God has ever sent into your life, and you had a front row attitude spirit, and you hung on every word they said and you never missed an altar call and you buried your face in the carpet -- that's where anointing comes from, it comes from submitting yourself to spiritual authority and you won't get it without that."

Well. *sigh*

We have had quite a few youth receive the Holy Ghost at this youth conference, while parents were being filled upon their return.

I did hear a strange account that Stoneking preached a message about how our voices, being scientifically proven, can reach a certain decibel which in turn affects the spirit world in a powerful way. So, I'm thinking that is a little sensational, like the magic hair. I would think it was faith that was at work and not how loud you scream out.

Im thinking of a man right here on AFF that has an awful shrill when he preaches, combined with numerous false teachings.

He definitely wakes up spirits...LOL
