Mother Theresa
Is she in Heaven or Hell?
|
Ask the Pope where he put her....or pray to her and ask her yourself. :)

:killinme Now THAT is an excellent answer. |

Seriously though. What would be your answer if someone asked you? |
I don't sit in the judgement seat for anybody, only God does that, however the Bible declares that works don't save us. She did good works, undoubtedly. But did she ever obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which Paul declared was the power of God unto salvation?
|
Up to God ... she displayed fruit of the Spirit however.
|
Well uhmm... Did she have the Holy Ghost? I can't say wether or not she went to heaven or hell, because I don't have anyone's heaven nor do I have anyone's hell to put someone in. So I would say you've asked the wrong people if you want the answer to that question.

Oh if someone asked ME? Ok. Something like this.....MT, just like all of the millions that have died, is in the hands of a just God, but having said that sir/miss (whoever was asking :D) we need to realize that God has a plan for each of us to follow. Let me share that plan with you. God's plan is found in the Bible at Acts 2:38. |

I wrote a comparison and contrast essay for my college English Comp class describing why I think hero's still exist in the world. She was one of my main arguments. She was a very good woman. That does not put her in heaven but it sure makes her a good example to follow for good works though good works do not save you.My salvation though is not based on whether Mother Teresa went to heaven or hell. Its based on the fact that I know what salvation is and I am going to be held accountable for that knowledge and how I acted on it.God is a just judge.I would never call God unfair. He does what He wants in the kingdom of men.I don't know Teresas heart.God does.He is the one she is answering to.I am to keep my heart and mind fixed on Him because one day I will have to answer to Him for myself.I am so grateful for grace and His blood because in no way in my own self do I deserve favor. Its the gift of God. |

I'm sure that at some point during all of her works, someone held up a sign that said Acts 2:38 as she walked past, so now she is doomed to hell since she didn't pick up on the fact that everything she did was pointless... :)

There's a (biased in her favor) documentary about Maria Teresa now airing on TBN. PST.
|
Kutless, our only responsibility is to preach truth. Only God knows her ultimate destination.

You just love gloating over someone not making it, don'tcha? |

Sorry if it wasn't feminized enough, or made warm, but the nun missed glory. No gloating. Brother Benincasa www.OnTimeJournal.com |

I think I will go along with PP on this one and leave the judging up to God. |

So are we talking about the Hindu Vedas or the Christian Bible? I didn't write the Bible, but as the scriptures speak the nun didn't make it. Christianity in this country is getting real vanilla and from this we have doctrines fall to the wayside. Is Jesus God? "Well, God is really bigger than that and he really doesn't care if you believe He is God." Will someone go to hell if they're not baptized in Jesus name? "Well, grace covers and I will leave the judging up to God." What other religions talk that way? Eastern Religions? Very good boys and girls everyone in class wins a cookie. Dogmatic means to hold true to whatever dogma your religion teaches. Let's see, is the Nun Mother Teresa cooking like waffles in a hot iron? Then my question would be is Ghandi, Joseph Campbell, and Carl Sagan burning in hell? Sadly there are those who make comments that those three are burning in hell because one is a Hindu, and the three others are atheists. On the other hand Mother Teresa is singing and shouting in glory when she didn't adhere to Bible teachings of Christ. Did she do good deeds? Yes, did Ghandi? Yes! Does God have mercy? Yes ONLY on those who love Him according to His word. I look at it this way, adults are going to do whatever they very well please, believe what ever and whenever, but young people should be given straight up and right information and then from there run with the ball. My father was a good atheist and I had good times with him, but he was wrong when it came to the things of God. Brothers and Sisters Christianity in this country is suffering not because of men in long sleeve shirts or women in dresses, but because of those who want to make something user friendly that was never meant to be user friendly. It was meant to be full aged mature. If you buy a motorcycle and ride it all the time and never put oil in it you will blow the top and bottom end. If you have a warranty the manufacturer will take the engine apart and give you a bill. You may ask why you had been given a bill for 2,500 dollars, but they will tell you right quick that it was your fault and that the manufacture is NOT responsible for problems caused by the negligence of the owner of the motorcycle. Spiritual and Biblical negligence is the same thing and if we keep seeing warnings signs and don't get our good stuff together then it will be all on us. Yeah God has mercy if we had been making sure we were checking our oil. Don't check the oil and God gives you the bill. In Jesus Name Brother Benincasa www.OnTimeJournal.com |
