I just posted a prayer request in the prayer request area for Janice Alvear who is a AFF poster. A few minutes ago her husband posted a prayer request on FB saying that she has a tropical disease.

Please join me in praying for her.

She posted an update on FB today saying that for the first time in over a week she was able to eat and keep something on her stomach today. She said she has been having a very high fever and very sick but feels much better today.

Hello my friends...thanks for your prayers. I am not completely well but am much better...high fevers are gone but still much pain in my joints...Please pray for our people many are very sick with the same thing I have had....Am still taking strong medicine but prayers have got me over the high fevers....thanks so much....

I am still having lots of swelling in my joints...in my hands and feet ...however no fever.....God is good...prayer works....God bless you all.

going to church tonight the first time in about 3 weeks....still lots of sweeling but continue without fever than the Lord and thanks for the many prayers.

Chikungunya (pronunciation: \chik-en-gun-ye) virus is transmitted to people by mosquitoes. The most common symptoms of chikungunya virus infection are fever and joint pain. Other symptoms may include headache, muscle pain, joint swelling, or rash...I have had lots of swelling in my joints...very painful....the first days I had very high fever but fever is gone thanks to our Lord and the prayers of His people. I had to have a shot today and perhaps another shot tomorrow because of swelling.
