The reason I am resurrecting this is because my mom's best friend told her yesterday something I cannot verify...and for the record, though I am Apostolic to the BONE, and love the Church, I verify EVERYTHING!! Too much has been bandied around as fact that turned out to be...ummmm...less than accurate.

So here is the deal...it seems an elder went to this church in Louisiana and said, Michelle Bachman was indeed baptized and Spirit filled, AND was heading the ministerial alliance whatever that Trump has set up.

I googled, and found no evidence of this. Perhaps I didn't search far enough, but I can't see this anywhere.

PLEASE understand, I am NOT trying to call out an elder...God forbid! But I am sick to the core of my spirit in this "they're looking our way" mentality.

If we have truth of salvation, and I know we do, why do we feel we have to embellish on it? Truth stands alone.

Anyway, if y'all have any FACTS to support this, please share them.

I never said she was "Apostolic". All I did was put this link on the forum with her speaking in her own words. I saw in her testimony years ago that she believes in and has experienced visions. She is at the least "Charismatic".

I personally knew a Charismatic Church that baptized in Jesus name that was far more exciting, if not more "powerful" than any Oneness Pentecostal Church I have known.

Wikipedia says she was "formerly" a Lutheran. Lutherans will preach Acts 2:38, though in a non Pentecostal way.

I read it. A guy throwing mud everywhere hoping something will stick. No Christian could be a Politician and survive his assaults. If you want to call the only Politician I ever heard of that boldly preaches Jesus Christ and Acts 2:38 a hypocrite worthy of scorn go for it.

I highly applaud her bold and courageous stand for Jesus. You may never see another American poilitician like her.

So a politician goes on a Christian radio show and says people need to become Christians and follow Jesus, meanwhile she campaigns against government subsidies calling it socialism while living on government subsidies, she supports illegal spying, Big Brother, the overthrow of the Constitution by tyrannical edicts, all the while pandering to gullible Christians who like what she says and don't care about what she actually does... and you applaud her?

In that case you should be singing Clinton's praises.

Easy for you to judge a high profile person who had to make a lot of judgement calls concerning policies most of us or even them dont understand. Also many times there is more to legislation than meets the eye. You may be presented with a bill that seems and maybe is good. But there may be "riders" attached to it that would make it wrong for you to support. We dont know the reasons she supported or opposed things.

One things for sure. Wherever she is she has always been consistent to honor Jesus, the best she knows how. Even in the hit piece you linked to several times the writer praises the things she stands for.

The fact that she would point people to Acts 2:38 as the way to come to Jesus tells me she is trying to present Jesus in a sincere way that most dont want any part of.

Mike, her actions are contrary to her words. It's obvious. There is no great mystery to the PATRIOT Act. There is no great unfathomable mystery to preaching against federal subsidies while taking federal subsidies for your own personal benefit.

She's a politician telling people what they want to hear.
