Of the reasons I've read to vote for Trump, I have not read of a Christian reason. The majority of people fall back to "we can't let Hillary win."

But, you are trying to use the argument of Christianity to justify not voting for Trump and for voting for HRC. That is a flawed argument because both the DNC and HRC are for the very things that you say you stand against.

And the problem with your post, Bird Dog, is that NO ONE on AFF has ever made the argument that you have tried to make. Therefore, it doesn't work for this discussion. :)


However, I know of at least 5 AFF'ers who, if it were possible, would have physically beat me into submission into voting Republican as the Christian thing to do, last election.


Politics can make hypocrites of real Christians-- that is my point.

I am convinced that the trump candidacy is the Will of God, designed to show the Christians of the "American Religious Right" just how silly of a concoction they have developed.

A people so drunk on their political religion that they will vote for trump, "in Jesus Name".

I'd weep, if it wasn't for SO MANY OF the zealots of the American Religious Right who are so nasty towards the other Americans that disagree with them.

What do Christians do about their leaders in China? Russia? Zimbabwe? Saudi Arabia? Christian voters that expect perfection from their candidates are foolhardy. But if you vote on specific issues---abortion; traditional marriage; freedom of religion; et al you'd probably be better off with Trump.
