Bro. Pixler's daughter

He came home and found her...eyes red...been crying over what was said about her on this forum....

I am so sad that a child would be so hurt....

I'm very sorry for the family...but for different reasons.

Re: Bro. Pixler's daughter

Well...no young girl wants to be called neame...especially on a forum. She is a sweet girl. Wish I were closer just to tell her I love her. People remember HARD words the rest of their life....

Re: Bro. Pixler's daughter

I have nothing against what conaspente89 said I just think it was not wisdom for BC to include his family and especially his daughter. Doctrine is one thing being unkind is another and maybe he did not mean to sound unkind.. I do not in any way agree with trinity doctrine but about 15 years ago or so I did a college class in a trinity school and two of the teachers (both preachers) asked if they could come spend a week with us. I asked Brother Alvear he said yes. They came and were so sweet and never mentioned differences at all. (yes, they know for on my test papers I wrote the answer you want is this......what I believe is this.... ) Their doctrine did not change me....I hope I planted a little seed. One of the other teachers mentioned to me they said how nice we were...and she said...most oneness people are not that nice...

I am sure I am NOT always nice...however I want to be...I do not have a lot of patience with Americans that are lazy or Brazilians for that matter. It is hard for me to understand lazy people....so I guess we all have hangups....lol...

I do not think it is proper to attack anyone's family. Just saying.

Agreed.
You can be "right" in your doctrine, but wrong in your spirit.
I have seen it many times.
No "side", conservative or liberal, is without fault.

Well, well, well, grow a beard, shorten your sleeves, wife gets a crewcut, daughter looks like Morticia Adams, and the whole family gets Birkenstocks, you are considered a hero, level headed, and a theologian?

Wow, Aldous Huxley would be proud. :lol

For the record...I did not make any derogatory remarks toward Pixler's daughter or any of his family toward that matter. I think Sister Alvear is pointing that out, I just want it to be clear. I did say that Pixler is leading his family and congregation to Hell. I pray, of course, that he is unsuccessful in this. Perhaps, by the mercies of God, Steve's children and other family members will realize his gross error and turn to another Elder, before its too late. I pray so.

Sure. I mean, claiming someone is leading their family to hell is perfectly acceptable, right?

:nah

Good grief.

I thought he was making a general statement not a personal attack on his daughter. And honestly missed it.

No, you just called her father a "creep," claimed he was unkind, arrogant, backslidden, in apostasy, a false teacher, a heretic, and leading his congregation and family to hell.

I'm sure there's a difference here... :foottap

This isn't a simple "change of opinion" or a "different route". This is backsliding. I know...such a legalistic word. Pixler is in apostasy.

I get angry, however when creeps like Pixler pervert the saving message of My Lord and turn the Grace of God into lasciviousness. Pixler is leading his family and congregation to hell.

I believe you. I've read enough of your posts on here to know you wouldn't knowingly attack anyone's family.

Thanks for the response.

Yes...the man is to be blamed. Should his family be lost...it will be at his hands. I stand by what I have said about Pixler...and I am sorry for his family. I pray they turn from their leader's error. I'm not saying anymore.

Sis. Alvear, not disbelieving what you've written, but, can you
say how you know this to be true?

Re: Bro. Pixler's daughter

Hopefully she is old enough to realize that on forums and FB many times people post in a kind of "stream of consciousness" way and are not thinking through fully what they are posting and how it might hurt someone. Of course there are also just mean people who are not christian at all in their attitude or actions that don't care that they are making personal attacks against a minor.

At least in her younger years having been around ultra con Pentecost a lot she ought to know most of those folks take on their extra biblical standards and how strongly they condemn those who do not conform and especially those who did and no longer do. She should consider the source and realize that 99.9% of Christians don't feel that way.
