Pretending to be crazy to stay out of trouble.

Will a man go to hell for acting like he has mental problems, even to the point of drooling, so as not to be arrested? Could a man have a godly heart and act this way?

Trouvere 06-17-2007 10:05 PM

uh no but I know alot of men in jail who do this all the time.

He sure did ... although I don't think he realized he didn't have to, IMO

but I guess he did need to spend some time in that cave he ran to ....

Trouvere 06-17-2007 10:28 PM

Just think. Here you are a king and the man most notorious for killing people in your kingdom walks in and acts like he is crazy.I say escort him out because its a set up.:lol

HeavenlyOne 06-17-2007 10:33 PM

Romans 12:17 ...Provide things honest in the sight of all men.

The OT saints got away with a lot more than we can.

How do bibles get into countries that don't allow them? Do you think the saints in those countries use deception?

Intent is really the issue when it comes to lying. God sends people deceptions and makes them believe it, but we would never accuse God of lying to those people, right?

Intent is the issue, not the lying.

So are you saying it is okay for Bible smugglers to lie if they are asked "what is in the box?"

Why not?

Of course, the people asking won't be taking their word for it, so the best thing to do is not get caught.

Rahab lied about hiding the spies and God rewarded her for it. It wasn't lying, but her intent that was seen and judged by God.

I always thought Giligan was doing a lot of pretending to stay out of trouble but he would thereby get himself into more trouble. Is this the Gilligan Syndrome?...No, wait, that's the syndrome characterized by the sensation that you are cut off from the rest of the world and the area that you live on is too small a territory for you....Now DON'T start correlating that syndrome to how some people here view their territory...lol

Not sure. Just carrying them in inside a suit case is one thing...but being asked and then lying about it is another.

Another verse speaks of living with peace among all men as much as possible. In other words obey all the laws until they restrict your ability to serve him or cause you to disobey him

They are disobeying the law by smuggling them in, so lying about it won't make their hell any hotter, will it?
