Freemasons.
Are there any Freemasons here? If so, message me. I have a few questions.
Thanks. |
Re: Freemasons.
The first rule of being a Freemason is never let anyone know you're a Freemason! :lol

Re: Freemasons.
No, it is not.

Re: Freemasons.
To be one, ask one.

as was my dad who stopped being one when he got the HG in the 60s. has since kind of made some contacts.... never saw the reason to leave it, but did so in obedience. |
Re: Freemasons.
My grandfather was a mason, my cousin was one...my grandmother was a Eastern Star...but I don't know much about masons...they told me Solomon was one!

Re: Freemasons.
seriously a link to some internet sight isn't proof of anything.
I truly hate googleresearch |
Re: Freemasons.
I've been trying to research (using Google). There's a lot of weird info out there. I was fortunate enough to come across a site where masons answer questions from those not in the fraternity.
I had a lengthy conversation (3 hours) yesterday morning with the guy that gave me the app |

(Not that anything was being " proved" anyway...) So, if it's published online it automatically has no value, right? Well, your summary dismissal of something you probably didn't even read IS proof of one thing: your lack of interest in learning anything that doesn't confirm what you already believe. Whatever. |

Christians cannot make the Freemason's oath: http://www.emfj.org/oaths.htm

They are deists, they believe in a higher power but not necessarily Christ. Their symbols and ceremonies include a lot of occult stuff. Hexagrams, pentagrams, lucifer's apron kind of stuff. Joe Smith was a mason, Brigham young built the SLC temple with masonic occult symbols. Again, much occult stuff. A discerning Christian has no need for it. Lots of people are drawn to it because of the apparent power that they imagine they get from it, also the support. Yet it has it's costs. |

It's not the Rotary Club. Masonic belief is based on kaballah. It teaches Hiram Abiff, King of Tyre, died and resurrected, and he is the chief example Masons are supposed to follow. It requires oaths and swearing in contradiction to the Lord's express commands. It teaches all religions worship the same God. It requires favoritism and respect of persons, which is sinful. It is clandestine and members are forbidden to reveal its "secrets", which makes it Biblically qualified as "darkness" and a cover for "evil". It is steeped in ritual, borrowed from medieval Jewish and catholic occultism and pagan Baal worship. It is nothing less than a modern day "mystery religion". |

Regardless, becoming a Freemason requires you to sin against Christ, as I already demonstrated. But some professing Christians are willing to do that in exchange for the social and financial benefits they think they will get from membership in the Lodge. |
