I need a cooler for work. Help!

Like the title says, I need a cooler for work. I want a Yeti... but they cost almost as much as my iPhone. I think next best option is Rtic. Any suggestions? Any cheaper brands with same quality?

I don't want to have to purchase ice every day as I have been doing this week. So if the ice lasts close to a week, yeah, that'd be great.

I have heard of YETI but never actually seen one. I know guys on the job have hats that say YETI, but just recently learned what they were.

The job site I'm at now is temp. I'm sitting in a store that was affected by the flooding. Walls were gutted out. Carpet removed. There is power and I wouldn't mind leaving a mini fridge at this location for the guy that covers the next shift.

There are just a few issues. My beverage has to be ice cold. Very cold. Or I won't drink it. Mini fridge temp fluctuates with open and close. I drink a lot through the day. So.. that's not going to work.

Also... I don't know if the next job site will have any power. Last Sunday I was sitting in my car watching a gate. Lol

Houston, some guy was telling me something about jobs in the city of Houston and surrounding areas paying upwards of $2,000.00 per week for hurricane related operations. He said he had only heard of it, but could not verify it.

Have you heard of anything like that?

A lot of scams. There are some real ones. I'd imagine it's difficult to find one and there is probably s huge waiting list.

Re: I need a cooler for work. Help!

My friend's father texted me about that. He said he has a friend here in Houston that applied and was being processed. I responded as above. Wonder if he got upset because he didn't reply when I asked for the info.

My cousin's friend is a supervisor for cleanup work. They were hiring guys at $13/hour, I think. OT available.

If it were, it would only be for two weeks. I would use my vacation time to work and make $2,000.00 per week if that was realistic.

I've seen them at bass pro for 500. Advertised that you'll only have to buy ice once. Also they are very rugged and have built in tie downs for keeping pesky varmints out of your food. Me personally, I'll buy the 30 dollar Coleman cooler.

That is nice, I want to go to Bass Pro shop tomorrow and see them.

My cooler is an old Coleman which has one broken handle now since the hurricane. Ice lasts in it for the day in the sweltering Florida hot. But, I couldn't buy me a 500 dollar cooler. I can't even pay attention, let alone pay for a YETI cooler. I don't have enough money for an ice cream cone. :heeheehee

50 bucks plus tax, cooler/freezer from Wally World. At home I keep my drink in the freezer. Drinking it off and on keeps it semi-frozen, pour new drink in on top of frozen Sprite, OJ, or even chocolate milk keeps it ice cold.

Yes. Now here is the kicker. That has happened ever since I was a child. If there was a need I prayed it came to pass. The Lord got me out of the most craziest situations, saved my lie multiple times. Gave me things I needed not necessarily what I wanted. My father dying was something I didn't expect. If I knew what I know now things may of been different, I don't know. But when I was at his bedside he started to cry, he told me he loved me. Another thing I didn't expect. I had never seen my father cry, he never told me he loved me (he didn't have to say it, I always felt it) he told me he was dying, and that I was to find out where he was going and don't go there. I told him he wasn't dying, but by the time I got home I received a call that he had passed. Again, I wish I knew what I know now, I would of prayed with him to be healed, I would of asked an atheist to trust the God of his son, that His name is Jesus and he would be healed if he allowed me to pray with him. But , I didn't know that kind of praying.

Since then I have seen people get up and walk out of hospice, and intensive care units.

That's why I know prayer works, and changes things, if I need those things.

Not just want those things.

The key right there...asking for our needs but the Lord has supplied my wants too... It doesn't hurt to ask Him!

I have wants, but He meets my needs. Technically want and need are very different. If you get something you want it is usually what you need at the time in some way, shape, or form. ;)

Coleman cooler 20.00 vs. yetti cooler 300.00. It takes a lot of saved bags of ice to make up the difference between that.

Well, the YETI is far superior to the Coleman. Contents will remain colder far longer. Also will withstand wear and tare way better than the Coleman. I believe Houston made a good choice with the YETI.
